Myself, my Niece and her two little girls were going to see Elf the Musical at the Brighton Centre and chose to go to wetherspoons as it was close to the Brighton Centre, we decided to have dinner and dessert before the show, we ordered the food and drinks via the app and then a bartender called Oscar came over and said there was a problem in the kitchen with the fryers he said engineers were working on them so we waited to see how long it would be and he constantly kept updating us his service was exceptional he made sure we was ok he made sure our drinks were brought over while we waited, after about 10 mins he said it was all systems go, we had our food the desserts were a little bit delayed but again Oscar was on hand at all times. He is a true credit to the company and we feel he should be recognised for this, he made our evening that extra special with his hard work, his kindness and his excellent customer services. Thank you so much Oscar we will definitely return if we are going to be served by someone as lovely as you.

If you enjoy a clean pub with sparkling, engaging clientele and staff …don’t come here. Possibly the dirtiest pub I’ve ever had the misfortune to spend a few minutes in.

We called in as we had limited time before catching our bus home. Very quick service and the food and drinks were excellent value. We opted for a Jalfrezi and a small cod and chips and both of us enjoyed our meal.

I was in Brighton for the day on October 6, & went for the fish & chips at the Bright Helm. The price was right, but I was disappointed with the meal. The fish was okay, but I couldn’t believe how few chips came with the fish! Was it worth it? A BIG no! All in all, the meal was a big disappointment & I have had much better fish & chips elsewhere.

Myself and my wife are staying in Brighton for the weekend unfortunately we made the mistake of coming here to have breakfast ordered the breakfast muffins which came with a hot drink ordered our food and asked about the hot drink the server just looked at me blankly and disappeared next second a person I can only assume was the manager came out and aggressively asked me what’s your problem I said I’ve not got a problem I’m waiting for my drinks to be told you didn’t order them so you can’t have one because that would be fraud I pointed out the food comes with a drink and was told well I give you it this time but remember it for future not only that the place is filthy and slow service never again

The worst weatherspoons we have ever visited. Shabby, smelly. Zero character. Gut it and start again. Avoid unless you are desperate for a drink

Called in mid afternoon as a couple for a few drinks. Wine was served to us in brandy glasses as they had run out of wine glasses. Very few people in at this time and empty glasses not collected. We were in about an hour and no tables cleaned or glasses collected. The place was filthy. Someone had punched holes in the wall in the gents toilets and debris was scattered over the floor causing a possible trip hazard. No-one removed it. Shocking management. Avoid at all costs!

What a hell hole after coming here in 2020 and having a bad experience we thought we would give it a go and see if it had improved! Well the answer is no ! It’s got worse a 1* is being generous! Terrible staff and management with bad attitude if I was weatherspoons I would sort it out before the staff Take it down!

I went up to the bar as my food incorrect and not what I ordered, a girl with brunette hair and a pony tail immediately responded rudely and said my order was correct when I had the receipt proofing otherwise. I was extremely disappointed with the service i received and the way I was spoken to after approaching her in a friendly way. I will not be returning and hope her attitude can improve for other customers.

We went there with our grandchildren. The pub wasn’t busy at all considering it was a Friday and lunch time. I ordered the food or shall I say tried to. Easier order two buttermilk gourmet chicken burgers with an extra burger on each plate. Shandy and a large glass of wine. What’s a shandy says the barman as he searched the spirit bottles!! I explained what it was. Even the other barman didn’t know what one was. Yes really. He poured the glass of shandy and it had obviously had a row with the measure as it was certainly not a pint with the two inch head he put on it. He poured my glass and gave me a 125ml measure, no I asked and paid for a large one. I had to show him the measure on the side of the glass. I had asked for a pint of soda water to which he asked did I want it in my wine! This order took over 20 mins to order, yes you read that right. I then asked him you have put my extra chicken on the order haven’t you to which he replied do you want chips with that and do you want lemon and herb. I have no idea what he was referring to, to which I said oh for goodness sake. The manager approached and told me to be more polite as he was new. I never said anything except for oh for goodness sake after he had messed my order up and had no idea what Wetherspoons sold. Obviously there is no training going on. I was not rude to the young man but perhaps she should have supervised him until he was competent. When the food came, I had onion rings but the other plate didn’t. Yet no one noticed. We did inform them and eventually arrived, cold and old. I have been to many Wetherspoons and this is definitely the worse. The staff need training and that is the manager’s job

We were a party of 4 and came in for Breakfast. We use Weatherspoons a lot due to it's good value for money, this was our first visit to this pub and we were surprised at how quiet it was. On ordering, the bar assistant (Davina) was helpful enough although seemed to have an issue with some minor changes we wanted to our meal - not a problem. They were also apparently alarmed at the noise of the sirens going past the open window but seemed good humoured enough. Our food arrived promptly but one of our party ordered beans on toast, there was no butter on the toast and the beans were luke warm. We called Davina back and apologetically said the beans were cold. They said 'so do you want a replacement' we said yes please - apologising again, they replied 'no skin of my nose' and trounced off with the plate. They returned 60 seconds later and said it had been temperature checked and left the plate. The beans were still cold and by now we were so fed up we just wanted to get out. Two of the parties had breakfast wraps and said the wraps were stale but unfortunately didn't tell us until the end. All in all a very disappointing visit not only for the poor food quality but the attitude of our server - even when taking our plates they didn't ask if everything was OK or say anything at all. Terrible and unnecessary bad manners. We wont be returning to this branch in a hurry.

Tuesday afternoon 12:15. We came in, first stop from the train for a day trip. Service from one member of bar staff that served us was absolutely disgusting! We walked to the bar smiling, ordered our drinks. I had a question about swapping an ingredient in one drink for another. Before I’d even stopped talking they stopped me saying “NO!” “Absolutely no way!” They didn’t even let me finish my sentence. I just wanted to swap peach for raspberry. Then the wrong drink was poured. My friend had asked for a Vodka, lime and soda. Only to be given Vodka, lime and lemonade. Simple mistake…. The same person replied “SHE DEFINITELY SAID LEMONADE!” My friend didn’t. The bar person then poured the drink and forgot the vodka. We mentioned it. Their face was like thunder. They poured the vodka on the top of the drink. My friend asked if there was anything to stir it with. They then came back with a cocktail stirrer and stirred the drink wildly spilling it all over the side. I must add that from the moment we got to the bar til the time we left they had a face like thunder. Wasn’t pleasant, wasn’t happy. Was actually really rude and miserable! Not a nice way to start our day trip! Not sure of their name, they had long black curly hair, large black false eyelashes a black dress and ripped black tights. I really hope this person is spoken to. We all work with people and in our profession, we would NERVER greet or treat people the way we felt we were today.

Megan the manager is the rudest person I have ever come across. She was extremely dismissive and rude and has zero experience or training in customer service. Having to wait more than 30 minutes for a drink (when we were told it would be 30) was fairly frustrating and when raised to Megan she laughed and dismissed us. I would recommend that Megan receives extensive training in customer service

I ordered a meal and a drink with my fellow workmate. His food and drink came out in good time, however, he finished his before I got mine and I had to go to the bar to collect mine.
