I'm not sure if Kali has changed chefs or owners but my past few orders have been awful! Been using this place for years and the vegetarian dishes were always so authentic and lots of different flavours etc.. now everything is the same colour a deep red/brown whatever you order and everything packs flavour. Such a shame as this was pretty much the only decent Indian for veggie options Hastings had.. I'll be searching for somewhere new now.

Was there Friday night for a meal with friends. Best curry in Hastings. All well received, very helpful waiter with a good sense of humour (I ordered a Korma, he joked it was a Vindaloo ?). Will return with friends and family ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Best Indian I’ve had since Brick Lane in the 90’s. Superb. Fresh, great crisp flavours. Amazing.Dietary restrictions: Brilliant to have all the gluten free options showing on the main menu. And Dairy Free.

Really lovely food, and friendly staff. My partner and I are both vegan and one of us is also a coeliac so sometimes our options can be a bit limited, but not here. We had a range of different vegetable curries all of which tasted very fresh and which were individually different. The guy working there knew about gluten / vegan etc. and was confident in telling us what was what. We both really enjoyed the meal and will be going back again.

We have been to the Jali many times over the years, and have always rated it very highly. Yesterday we brought an old friend for his very first visit, and all three of us were very impressed. Some unusual dishes along with more familiar ones, and everything we ordered was delicious; beautifully presented, perfectly cooked and bursting with flavours. We were made very welcome, the service was great, and it won’t be long before we go there again!

Phenomenal. "Fancy a curry?" she said. "Have I stopped breathing? Curry is life" my response.Because of Jali's Goan fish curry, eaten at a pop-up, we thought "give'em a takeaway go".Blinded. Prices, good. Menu, small but different. Delivery, fast and hot. Portions, spot on and so very, very tasty.I had the Lamb shank Raj. Treat yourself. At 52 I've eaten curry more often than anything else, and Jali is the best I've come across in 20 years. Use them or lose them.
The Jali team did a fantastic job hosting our group of nearly 40 - so welcoming and flexible, and the food was fantastic. A good night was had by all - highly recommend. Thank you Ravi and Parth !

Always great curry here, best in the area by far in terms of flavour and calibre of presentation. Authentic Indian food, tablecloths, real Indian background music, clean and just good service. Eaten here many many times over the years always good, never disappoints and consistently good.
