MONELLIS Sourdough Gourmet Pizza

Monelli’s in Hastings is such a great find. The sourdough pizza is excellent: light, full of flavour and clearly made with care. The Margherita pizza with burrata is a standout - simple but done perfectly. From the first bite, it instantly brings back the typical flavours of Italy, especially the ones from my region Puglia. I was also so happy to see puccia with capocollo from Martina Franca (Puglia) on the menu, something you rarely find outside Italy, and it tastes just like it should. The focaccia is another highlight - soft, rich, and properly done.

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Francesca is absolutely lovely - always smiling and so kind - and the whole team is friendly and attentive without ever feeling forced.

As an Italian, I can honestly say the quality here is top. An amazing Italian spot that truly feels like a little piece of Puglia in Hastings. Highly recommended!

The one in Bexhill I assumed same owners it's, cabbage soup and coffees though hmmm?seems it's more of a table chat hub and community counselling space I walked into.

I have been to Bar Moda many times as I live locally, but my partner and I decided to have our engagement party upstairs last weekend. I cannot thank Richard and his staff enough for their professionalism, attention to detail, and wonderful venue to host a party. The staff were extremely helpful and polite, and Richard was only a text away if I needed anything. I changed my mind re serving food, and it was dealt with promptly and was absolutely perfect for my guests. I would highly recommend for anyone to host a party here, although even a meal downstairs is also a great experience. Thank you again!

Lovely little local Indian. It was a ittle cold when entering but they put the heating on for us. A big plus it's a bring your own, so we had a couple of beers for which a glass was provided. Service was quick and good freshly cooked and very tasty! We had Paneer masala, garlic mushrooms, mushroom rice and garlic naan from the great menu. Perfect for the Premier Inn as just around the corner.

Big Sam Chicken & Grill is honestly one of my go-to places. I eat here nearly every day and the food is always fresh, tasty, and cooked properly. The portions are generous, prices are good, and the staff are friendly and welcoming every time.

The chicken is full of flavour, the burgers are great, and the service is always quick even when it’s busy. You can tell they care about their customers. Definitely one of the best takeaway/grill spots in Hastings. Highly recommended!

The Plough Inn

I recently celebrated my birthday at the Plough, I met with the staff in advance who discussed with me what provisions that I would like for them to help me with. They were very accommodating, and were able to put together a vegan buffet spread for me and my guests. I was surprised by how very decent and varied the food was, as dairy free options are often quite slim, but the Plough's efforts satisfied my hungry horde well with some left over. I was kindly offered the opportunity to have my preferred music playing, and so surrounded by friends and family I was very much immersed in an ideal atmosphere. The pub was of course still open to the regular clientele, but everyone was pleasant, and it helped greatly that the venue is dog-friendly. This allowed certain guests to attend who otherwise might not have, and is always a good indicator that the management are considerate. I had multiple comments from my guests remarking on how decent the venue is, we all had an outstanding time, and I regard this as possibly my most successful birthday. Thank you Becky, Alex, Dan, and any other staff that I didn't catch the name of.

My mum booked NUR restaurant for her 50th birthday party and it was the most exceptional night!

We arrived and the restaurant was beautifully laid out and the staff were so lovely, chatty and helpful with the set up of our cake, place cards etc. and the service all evening was exceptional.

The food we ordered was also fantastic, some of the most delicious lamb I’ve ever tried and an incredible array of flavoursome starters! An incredible variety of Armenian food and it was great to be able to sample to many different things.

Thank you for making my mums birthday such a special night and I cannot wait to return for more!

Entering through a gate, tucked away in St Andrews Mews, it felt as if we were entering a special secret place, just for us. And indeed special is what it was. We visited yesterday, having tried other fish and chips restaurants in the area previously, so we thought we would try The Rainbow Restaurant for a change.. the food was nice and hot when it arrived.. we did not have a long wait.. quite cheap looking cheeseburgers for the children, but they had clear plates, which is a very good sign! Us adults' fish and chips were good, good portion sizes and freshly cooked.. the restaurant was clean, plenty of staff working, so we were tended to promptly.. the toilet facilities were upstairs, through another seating area, which were clean.. fair prices.. outdoor seating available.. we would go back, but have had a little better elsewhere.. glad we tried it though..

This place is absolutely magical – run by wonderful people who create such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The Thai food is honestly the best I’ve ever had! Everything is homemade, full of flavour and so good that we came back for more the very next day during our weekend in Hastings.

The décor, the music, the karaoke – everything comes together perfectly. It’s truly a place where you have everything you need for an amazing evening all in one spot.

We stopped for coffee here a week or so ago on a walk on Hastings seafront the coffee was great all the food smelt amazing said we’d pop back for food and today was that day we ate Afghan biryani’s one chicken and one lamb it was absolutely amazing full of flavour mega portions these where recommended by the lady who cooks son and it was delicious I recommend this place if there where more stars I’d fully give them #tenten1010 we will definitely be back.

Me and my family visited maggies last week on our little trip to Hastings. The food was fresh and so tasty, the battered fish was nice and light. Best potatoes around cannot recommend enough. Visited randomly after living in the town my whole life and truly discovered a gem. My 7 year old now wants a jacket potato, cheese and beans from here over McDonalds which is very high praise indeed! Staff were really friendly and patient with said 7 year old when she was ordering and paying for her own food. We will be visiting again.

Went there for lunch to have fish and chips. The staff were friendly and welcoming and we were tended too fairly quickly after sitting down.

We ordered two fish and chips, with bread and butter for two. Food was cooked and was served steaming hot. Waiting time was what I'd describe as very reasonable for freshly cooked fish and chips.

Table side condeiments were available as one would expect sitting down for food.

Would happily come again.

We paid by contactless payment with no issues.

I loved the unique atmosphere with all the books, and I agree with people who say this place probably has the nicest toilet in the city! The latte was very delicious as well and the place is pet-friendly, so you can always see some cute dogs while you are enjoying your coffee or tea.

Being down in Hastings for work I fancied getting some fish and chips and eating them next to the sea so went for a walk and came across the Fish Hut and I’m so glad I did! The fish and chips were pretty much cooked to order, everything was lovely and hot, fish batter was crispy and the whole thing delicious! The gentleman serving was very lovely and chatted whilst I was waiting. Would 100% recommend.

I booked an Afternoon Tea and the staff were amazing, especially accomadating extra guests with tea cups. The price was exceptional for the quality and quantity. Perfect. Definitely going to book again. The only reason for a 4* for atmosphere was due to the workman banging, but that wasn't the staffs fault and we were informed when booking.

The fish and chips are delicious and a good size can't recommend enough, the staff are ever so polite and helpful. When the wind blew a menu and knocked a cab off pop over they came out straight away and cleaned the table and gave us a free van of pop and a bowl of chips, (which they didn't need to do) they were lovely. Only down side is the price, but it's inline with the other chip shops.
