Seafood Restaurants in Hastings

“Was there to dine alone. They gave me a window seat where I can enjoy the seabreeze as well as my dinner?? I ordered a local sea bass for main and all of it was so delicious. The sauté potatoes were crispy outside and soft inside (just like the texture of mashed potatoes).

The sea bass were marinated with parsley and garlic butter, the marinade did not take away the flavour of the sea bass, it was balanced so well that I can taste the freshness of the sea bass and also the flavour they added.

With the salad, I thought it was just a normal salad. But nope, there were cucumbers, bell peppers, green leaves, cherry tomatoes cooked to perfect ripeness.

It was also extra kind for the restaurant to have given me crispy squid on the side?? The squid was SO FRESH, not just soft (like the frozen ones). Perfect!”

“Always use this place chips are banging so is the fish to be honest its all nice even burger I had from here defo 10/10 also great if you have any one cant have fish as chips cooked on there own”

“Being down in Hastings for work I fancied getting some fish and chips and eating them next to the sea so went for a walk and came across the Fish Hut and I’m so glad I did! The fish and chips were pretty much cooked to order, everything was lovely and hot, fish batter was crispy and the whole thing delicious! The gentleman serving was very lovely and chatted whilst I was waiting. Would 100% recommend.”

“Sunday lunchtime at the Rock a Nore Kitchen was a joy. We were lucky to walk in and get a table - booking recommended - for an excellent meal on Hastings Old Town seafront.

We shared a white bait starter followed by the special skate wing and a cod Sicilian carbonara. Wonderfully fresh fish, great flavours and all paired with a delicious bottle of Sancere.

“What a cracking find! We've been coming to Hasting whilst on our camping holiday for years. We normally went to the chippy by the trampolines, however this year we had friends come visit us and one of our friends has to have gluten free food. A Quick gander on Google and we find this place. And what a find it is! Staff really friendly, food comes piping hot and has a decent meanu choice for Gluten free eaters. We all had something different and it delicious. Cannot recommend enough. Forget going the the chip shopsnon the front, walk down a little further and pop into this place. You won't regret it. We will definitely return next year on our holiday!”

“Excellent seafood restaurant - probably the best in this coastal town.
The staff were polite, friendly, and very welcoming. Service was smooth and professional, making the whole experience enjoyable.
A really cool feature is the testers - small tasting portions at a low price. Thanks to that, we got to try many different seafood dishes without spending too much.
The only minor downside was the wine, which felt overpriced for its quality. Still, compared to everything else, it wasn’t a big issue.
We sat outside. It was a bit worrying with the seagulls around, and quite hot under the sun since there were no umbrellas. But even so, it was a wonderful time.
Fantastic place - I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in Hastings.”
