Average taste, rice and chicken were cold which indicates food is not fresh. Same with the salad not fresh. I hope the owner works in these matters.

I love eating here. Been coming for a few years now and can honestly say the food always comes out fast and is delicious. The service is always amazing. The ladies that work there are so kind and helpful. I recommend the almoosh chicken if you don’t know what to order :)

I had a great expectation after reading all the reviews. Being born and bread in Middles east I had to run for this food in Brighton.. I have ordered Lamb Mandi..The rice is average.. lamb was completely soft but bland…I had fresh orange juice as well. The service was poor. The lady serving the food was speaking Arabic but no manners of Arabic hospitality.. it’s just a dine out or take away place when you get craving for some Arabic food in Brighton.

As an Arab and a Muslim is very difficult to find a halal restaurant in Brighton but thankfully I was able to find one which is really close to my school. The food was delicious and the service was great, I ordered shawarma as the main meal and fries on the side, I recommend everyone to come and try their tasty food

Staff behavior very bad. For the second order she thrown the plates to the table. As we are in a country like Uk where equality and diversity is in place this attitude is not good for the establishment. We asked for the family privacy in the basement. But she refused and told that, the facility will open at 5 pm. But unfortunately, we could see that the basement place was open before 5 pm for other customers. This is literally showes discrimination.. We are totally fed up and lost our weekend.

Ordered the Almoosh Mixed grill for takeaway. The premises has a very authentic feel to it. You can definitely smell the aroma of the spices as you walk in.The dish came with 2 Skewers of kofta, 1 skewer of lamb mashwe, 1 skewer of shish taouk, 1 jawaneh mashwe which were chicken wings. Served on a bed of rice with a salad. All other middle eastern mixed grills I have ordered in other places came with bread. It never usually specifies it but it seems to be the norm. Also, the salad was a bit boring. Just a chopped up iceberg lettuce like you would get in an Indian restaurant. Every other middle eastern place the salad is a mini meal in itself. That said the meat was really nicely cooked and perfectly spiced and I would definitely recommend this place. Just would like to see a better salad and a bit of bread to mop up the final juices.

Summary:Good, Yet Unrefined Experience - Almoosh Arabic FoodAlmoosh Arabic Food impresses with its fast service, fresh ingredients, well-cooked lamb, reasonable prices, and excellent staff. Yet, it falls short in a few key areas.Highlights:----------------Prompt service and fresh foodPerfectly cooked lamb, embodying authentic Arabic flavorsAffordable pricing and great staffDownsides:Disproportionate rice-to-meat ratio, resulting in a high carb mealDishes lack optimal flavor balance, with room for improvement in acidity, umami, and saltAyran is bottled, not freshly madeOverall, Almoosh Arabic Food provides a satisfactory dining experience with the potential to be exceptional, given certain refinements in dish balance and beverage preparation.Detail:---------Authentic Flavors with Potential for More - Almoosh Arabic FoodMy experience at Almoosh Arabic Food can best be described as satisfactory, but with scope for improvement. Although the food was promptly served and the quality of ingredients was noticeable, some key elements in taste and balance left me desiring more.Highlights of the meal included the lamb, cooked just right and boasting of rich, authentic Arabic flavors, a true star of the menu. The swift service, combined with freshness of the food, made for an agreeable dining experience. Furthermore, the pricing is a high point, offering excellent value without compromising on taste. The staff too deserve a special mention – attentive, warm, and dedicated to their guests.Despite these positives, there were aspects of the meal that could use refinement. For instance, the rice-to-meat ratio was rather high, resulting in a dish heavier on the carbs than protein. While this may suit some diners, an option to increase the meat portion, even at a slight premium, would be appreciated. The flavor balance in the dishes also requires attention. While the food was by no means subpar, there was a noticeable lack in optimal use of acidity, umami, and salt - key components that would have enhanced the overall taste of the dishes. The Ayran, a classic yogurt-based drink, was another area of slight letdown. Instead of being freshly made, it was bottled, which while not a deal-breaker, did not offer the same satisfaction as a freshly prepared one.In conclusion, Almoosh Arabic Food is a decent choice for a quick, affordable, and generally tasty Arabic meal. However, with some adjustments in flavor balance, serving options, and beverage preparation, the place has the potential to rank among the top Arabic eateries. I eagerly await to see how they evolve to fully realize their potential.

After travelling 7 Middle Eastern countries over the past few months, who knew the best Chicken Kabsa was in Brighton.Great fresh food and incredible value. The waitress is a bit stretched and forgetful, needs a nudge. But overall great food and atmosphere.

If you're looking for some really good and authentic Mandi, you should definitely check out here. Their lamb Mandi is really something special, with the meat being super tender and the spices being perfectly balanced. The chicken Mandi is also really delicious, with juicy meat and rice that has a subtle but delicious flavor. You definitely won't leave the restaurant feeling hungry because the portions are really generous, and the prices are reasonable, so you don't have to break the bank to have a great meal. Additionally, making the overall experience even better.
