Got take away chips yesterday.. They were crunchy outside cooked inside. Delicious.. We were very pleasantly surprised. Out new treatChippy from now on.. Lovely lady serving. Staff were in extreme heat as it was hot yesterday. We got to wait outside.. They need fans these guys

Appalling experience - undercooked and anaemic frozen chips plonked on top of the thinnest piece of fish ever (we had both cod and haddock, they were as bad as each other) served on bizarre tiny plates! The batter tasted of old oil…They had no pepper… really???We asked for 3 glasses of water, they brought 2 glasses and… a MUG with water in it….We just couldn’t believe our eyes - who does that??? That’s on top these ridiculously small plates being brought on WET plastic trays… Disgusting food, no fish, hygiene didn’t seem great at all and we felt sick after eating there - AVOID!!!

I did a click and collect order here. Ordered some chicken nuggets and chips. The chicken had obviously been cooked from frozen and had not been cooked properly, was still rock hard in the middle. Called up to complain and was told I’d be refunded the amount for the nuggets. I have not received the refund.

Had a takeaway from here. Excellent portion size and very tasty. Very impressed by their gluten free options, very tasty and cooked completely separately and my celiac husband had no after effects. The gluten free options came clearly labelled in different packaging. Thank you.

Having asked if the chicken was still ok as looked a bit tired was very disappointed that it was stone cold when I came to eat 4 minutes after collectionReally rubbish service as specifically asked & unfortunately chips were also cold so seagulls ate most of it

As regular fish eaters we can recognise good fish. Had some really tasty fish and chips here yesterday. We took some away for ourselves and our daughter who lives nearby. Wasn't disappointed. Good friendly service as well.

I ordered via Just Eat but the wrong order arrived. The driver contacted his boss who advised me to accept the incorrect fishless fillet and then contact Bankers for a refund. After trying MANY times to call Bankers in Hove with no success, I went into the branch. It took a long time to explain the situation only for them to refuse a refund. I can however get one portion of fish and chips in the future. The delivery fee and service charge were not considered. Very disappointing. Also the portions are half the size of a proper chippy.
Ate at Bankers Express Hove with my wife and family on Sat 28th evening. Great staff, very friendly and helpful especially the manager then and good meal. Thank you.

I know costs have gone up across the board but seven quid for a tiny piece of fish. This is Hove, not Monaco! Might be acceptable if the quality was very good, but it was bang average at best. Skin left on the poor quality fish too. What sort of fish and chip shop does that!

What has happened to Bankers Hove ? A year ago I gave them 3 star.. today they would have 0 if I could. Miserable staff , guy cooking does not say a word.. fish worst I've ever had.. batter absolutely awful. Chips just terrible. What a shame that this once great fish n chips shop that I have been visiting for years has fallen so low. I will NOT be returning. 10.11.22

Good chips and tasty curry sauce. The prices seemed a little high, but I haven't bought fish and chips in the UK for a while so perhaps that's normal now. The service was friendly and pretty quick. Good selection of other items for those wanting something a bit different.
