“Such lovely staff, really made us feel welcome. Very attentive and great food. Nothing was too much to ask, our roast dinner was delicious and we had our 1 year old she was being rather loud, they all made us feel at ease by smiling and laughing at her. Also had such a lovely customers that came over to us to hello to the baby and let us know that they found her funny. We would definitely come again. Great staff, lovely community of customers and great food / drinks! Thank you so much for a lovely Mother’s Day! Xx”

“Cosy pub with large garden (big umbrellas to provide cover, and heaters). Very friendly and helpful staff, wide selection of drinks. We didn't eat but the food and snacks menu looked good.”

“An amazing British pub!! With food and service above a traditional pub standard. Came here after a day of walking around Brighton in crowds of people and loved the local vibe of this pub. The clientele seemed to be regulars that knew each other and the staff. I'd highly recommend getting a seat out in the garden - it is beautiful back there. Tonight the garden was packed so we enjoyed our meal indoors. Started with an elderflower Collins that was refreshing and delicious, and a flavorful Pimm's with cucumber, mint, lime and orange. Dinner tonight was the oyster mushroom bao buns which were super flavorful (though a bit spicy) and the hit at our table for the evening. My friend had the crispy chicken thigh burger which was good but a bit overcooked for her liking. The crispy smashed potatoes were amazing and the fries were perfect with a drizzle of vinegar. Finished the night off with a G'n'T and left truly satisfied. The staff, though very busy, were very attentive and friendly. If I were a local, Connaught would be my regular place to meet up with friends!”

“Had our wedding ceremony and reception here. Every member of staff was extremely helpful and polite, each and every one going the extra mile to ensure our day was perfect. Had a buffet reception and received lots of positive feedback from our guests. Excellent quality food, really good portion sizes and tasty!”
