Took my mother for a coffee there .. surly unwelcoming manager told us to sit at a table that wasn't comfortable for my 88 year old mother. He let us look at the menus for 3 minutes and then took them away again! My mother was very confused! Told us all the other tables reserved for lunch. Every single table was empty. Seemed a bit over the top for me! Waitress was charming though. Wouldn't want to go back there. The whole episode made us feel really uncomfortable

Always been happy with their ice creams etc. Went in for a coffee on a wet stormy day 21 Oct about noon. Place was empty. Waitress was totally rude saying we could only have a table if we were having lunch. As I sad it was empty. The waitress was no credit to them. Needless to say we did not have lunch.

It's fine, but not great. But might be just me... ? As I've noticed the owners are Italians and they had a few italian customers. I've had better risotto and better services in Italy and elsewhere. I was looking for a risotto with mushroom (ideally with truffle), but couldn't find any in the menu, so I ordered the untasty chicken one instead.

Possibly THE most delicious ice-cream ever. There was a queue, apparently there is always one...It was well worth the wait.Highly recommend.

Stopped by just for ice cream and didn't think it was great. I asked to taste two ice creams and the server was super moody and didn't even say a word to me. Maybe having a bad day but not very nice, and there was no one else queueing. No sorbet options and the mango ice cream I had was much too soft and overly creamy for my taste.

A brilliant place for an incredible ice cream on the beach. Massive variety of flavours too.

A hidden foodie paradise on the Hove sea-front. It's impossible to decide which is more impressive. Is the warm and genuine service from the Italian staff, or the flavourful seafood dishes expertly freshly made. Luckily both are here in abundance. Generous portions of super fresh fish and seafood given the Italian treatment. I particularly love the squid ink homemade pasta. If I could make one change I'd reorganise the layout as there's only a narrow seating area at the front with a rather dark and hidden space within, but its clearly not held this legendary eatery back over the many decades of its existence, so long may it continue!

Coffee is lovey from here. I also had pizza, which was also good. Knock one star because it was quite expensive £27 for pizza ( standard size and coffee to take away )Staff was very polite, and the venue looked clean and smart.Parking: Parking is a nightmare in season. There is a couple of disabled bays.

Ice cream so good we came back the next day. Only down side is the flavour are different every day so I couldn't have the salted peanut which I'd been thinking about all morning! Though the blueberry cheesecake was great too ?

Very disappointed with the ice creams. It’s not what it used to be. Lack of flavour and watery texture, no rich creaminess and scoops are much smaller. Such a shame as they were so good before.

Booked a table for a birthday dinner treat. On previous visit really liked the food and large portion sizes. But this time it was obvious changes to portion sizes and food quality have been made. The calamari starter (£10.25) literally had less than 7 small calamaris. The pizza was swimming in oil, the fish and batter was undercooked. The chicken and pasta dish came with tiny amount of spaghetti. Service was prompt but the food standard was low. Sadly we won’t be returning here.

Little Gem this was. Initially, as we approached, there was a gigantic queue (this was for the ice cream serving, the door is to the right of that). Firstly the food alone is 5 star! The flavours were amazing! Served in a timely fashion, especially as they were busy. The chefs were clean and tidy in their presentation of uniform. When they weren't, were cleaning. It is so pleasant to see staff members genuinely smiling and enjoying their work. Very friendly and Deaf aware staff, especially our waiter "Christo" you were also 5 stars! Made us feel very welcome. Thank you again. We shall definitely be back to try other things on the menu.

Good wholesome food, friendly service by Hove seafront. This place is a long standing Hove restaurant and a bit of an institution, especially for its ice creams (from the front window). You can't go wrong here.

Arrived in Brighton for the day brought my friend to the famous ice cream place Came here 10 years ago with my family. I walked for 40 minutes in the rain with my friend! The weather was very bad When we arrived we both ordered a ice cream. Asked if we was allowed to sit down just for 5 minutes to rest after pur long walk and was soaking wet in the rain. We was both very tied and we was in our early 70s The young girl behide the counter said it wasn't allowed I explained we had walked here for 40 min in the rain just wanted to rest . I asked to speak to the manager surely it would be good will to allow us to sit for 5 minutes The restaurant was empty all the tables was empty . The lady in charge said no I thought it was very bad manners and bad customer service considering that we was elderly. I am discussed in the way we was both treated. I don't wish that on anyone to be treated like this. I felt embarrassed. I will never visit there again, and would not be recommen this to any of my friends or family . There was a family sitting in there eating their icecreams With their two young children The girls was 10 or older They had finish eating The parents didn't evern offer us to sit down for few minutes Evern though the two girls had finish eating. If that was me I would told my two girls to stand to let two elderly ladies sit just for 5 minutes. Again people with no manners What is the world coming to where some people show no respect. I always believe to be kind and always offer your seat to a person who most needs it. I don't blame the young girls I blame the parents who have bad manners who havent taught them the right ways .
