We had dinner on the 11th of January .We started with a mix of Italian salumi for two ,all of them were sliced at the moment and believe me the quality was outstanding. We then continued with Ink squid Linguine and risotto alla Milanese, they both were delicious. For dessert we had tiramisu and cannolo siciliano, again we could not found any faults with them. The manager then offered us a delicious limoncello when we asked for the bill and It was the perfect ending to a perfect evening. We definitely recommend this restaurant and we can’t wait to be back again soon. Ps we love the fact that the chef go around and explain the menu to the patrons, is a very nice touch. ?

Visited here whilst down for a short break and liked the reviews I read. The maitre d was very obliging with accommodating food allergies and our fish main courses were lovely. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Whilst it costs marginally more to eat here compared to Otello it's definitely worth it!

Super as always!!!! We are local residents and we have been here several times. That in itself should say that we think the food and service is excellent, now it’s time to put that in writing. Super service amazing food.

This modern Italian pasta restaurant is a refreshing take on traditional flavors, seamlessly blending innovation with the essence of Italy. The sleek and contemporary ambiance creates a chic dining atmosphere. The pasta dishes, though infused with modern creativity, maintain a deep respect for authentic Italian techniques. Every bite is a harmonious blend of fresh ingredients and inventive combinations, showcasing the chef's culinary prowess. The attentive service and stylish setting make it a standout choice for those seeking a modern twist on classic Italian cuisine. A must-try for those with an appreciation for culinary evolution. Delizioso!

Kept meaning to go here and finally did, took friends along for a festive meet up as we all love Italian food. We were not disappointed. Lovely fresh pastas and some decent wines too. Tiramisu to die for, great coffee to round off. This little restaurant is so far removed from the soulless Italian chains with its authentic dishes and the service was great, attentive and friendly. We will come back, grazie !

Best italian food in Hove! Pasta is freshly made in-house. The guys who run the place are super friendly.

Very tasty food but have a starter or bread as well, I needed a bigger meal. Good prices for Brighton and cooked fresh in your sight.

My partner and I have been coming to Semola for over a year now (on a very regular basis!) and it is our firm favourite Brighton/Hove restaurant. We always look forward to seeing Luca and Roberto, who always deliver the best Italian food and exceptional service. We have taken all of our friends and family to Semola, and they all express how fantastic the atmosphere is! If you love pasta and an authentic Italian dining experience, you seriously can’t go wrong with this place. We are sadly moving away from Hove and will miss this place terribly! Thank you guys so much - Holly and Michael

Visited with friends. The food was excellent as was the majority of the service from a clearly experienced gentleman, but the service from what appeared to be a newer young lady let this restaurant down slightly. When repeating our order back to us she just said ‘garlic pizza bread and yeah… some other bits’ and when she handed me the card reader at the end, she said ‘oh, you haven’t left a tip’. I was leaving a cash tip but this was quite rude so I left less cash than I was planning to. Having said this, the food was excellent. Just let down slightly by an inexperienced member of staff.

Fantastic Italian food, specialising in pasta dishes. The best pasta in Brighton.

I visited for the first time today. A beautifully furnished restaurant for about 25 covers. Service is excellent and the homemade pasta and pizzas are to die for. Service is polite, attentive but not at all over bearing. The crab ravioli is to die for as is the focaccia ! Wines are well chosen at sensible prices. Will definitely come again.
