Myself and my wife both had the "Zereshk polo” this was literally two pieces of cheap quality unseasoned chicken leg and chicken thigh unseasoned and tased like it had been boiled, in a fatty red sauce in a bowl that tasted like fatty chicken water with a hint of watered down tomato cup soup. The Chicken was cheap tasting and akin to those bulk packs of Tesco Value or Sainsbury’s Basics stuff you buy in big packs in the cooler isle. The rice was nothing more than a packet of what I can only describe as cheap store bought Uncle Bens microwave rice with a few herbs dashed in. The whole plate was no more than £3 worth of food in its quality and preparation and lack of care in its presentation. Tasted so bland and massively overpriced at £17 each dish of this abomination. I wouldn’t even feed this to my dogs! This is definitely not authentic Persian food, moreover a cheap knock off imitation with no flavour, made with cheap ingredients and no love or care in its execution. Money wasted and highly disappointed!

I went with friends to celebrate a birthday and the staff were lovely, decor and ambience really suited me, and of course the food was good. Definitely somewhere I would go again and happy to recommend.

Exceptional service, the staff was amazing. The food was to die for. They even complemented us with a small birthday cake with a sparkle and a happy birthday song for our friend. Definitely going back

Have always loved this place, but the portion sizes have reduced massively, the service was a bit off but appreciate everyone is entitled to a bad day. Mentioned portion sizes at the end and was told to ask for more next time. Lastly served an Irish coffee that was cold so I flagged and they apologised only to microwave it and then tell me they hadn’t. It’s the same one I’ve handed back and the glass is hot including the base. Disappointing as like I say have always loved the place.

Absolutely love this restaurant. We visit regularly as a family (with our two children age 10 and 14), and we love to bring friends here when they are visiting. Food is delicious, service amazing and staff are friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere - can get a bit loud on Saturday nights!

Food is incredibly delicious, I especially like their chicken a lot! In addition, it is a restaurant that should definitely be visited due to its cleanliness and friendly staff.

The best authentic Iranian food you can eat in Hove.. always the same constant good quality food and service since they opened. I love to visit them once every couple months.. and recommend everybody ♥️

Didn't have a great meal here. The food was tasteless. They really need to marinade their meat and chicken with better quality spices. The best thing about this place was the tea, it came with a sugar stick. Just shame about the food.

I recently dined at this exquisite restaurant and was thoroughly impressed. The food and service were exceptional, the ambiance was perfect. The menu offered an authentic experience with a wide variety of traditional flavors, catering to both meat and vegetable lovers. The grilled dishes were among the best I've ever had, and the service was both very friendly and top-notch. The appetizers, including Dolmeh, Ribs, and Saganki, were incredibly delicious, carrying the beautiful essence of Middle Eastern flavours. I can't wait to return for another unforgettable dining experience.

After the recent renovation, the interior looks fantastic. The service is outstanding as always. The food is always great, the menu has good variety. No wonder the restaurant is always full. This is my favourite place in Hove. I highly recommend!

My absolute favourite, service is spectacular the staff are very welcoming and friendly, they take the time to explain the menu in detail. Their food is delicious full of flavour, always neatly presented on the plate. Very good selection of wines and beverages to chose from. Our all time favourite is the joojeh, however we did try the seabass last week and that was excellent ! I would highly recommend it!The beautiful decoration adds to the ambiance no matter what the occasion.

The food was really good but I found it quite overpriced for the quantity of food . The chicken skewer looked so sad and tiny , little rice and lots of salad . Very disappointed . I used to recommend it to my friends before as they portion were substancial and great value for money . I rather go to Anatolia in St James Street , for less price I get much more food . £17 should be substancial , not exactly what you see now at Shandiz . Service was very good nonetheless , beautiful toilets . Overall the facilities are beautiful . But the food portions doesn’t leave a lot to be desired .
