I was there for a couple of pints but I will be back. The reasonable bar prices were a nice surprise considering the pub is near Hove seafront.

We hired the Venue room for my band Blue Sky Falling on Dec 18 and had a really great timeTim the sound man was excellent and we had a really great sound- clearly he knows his stuff. All the communication with Andy leading up to the gig re arrangements /loading/tickets/posters/social was excellent and always an immediate reply to me.I have always loved this Pub - they have a great selection of Beers on tap and the food was really good -It has a great feel and all the staff were great. They have some great acts and events on here and the actual Venue room has a really nice feeling whether its standing gig ( 130 capacity) or seated gig ( 90 capacity)

Awesome place. Good beer, service, and staff. The food looked really good also. We were there for the comedy show. It was amazing. We had not laughed like that in a long time. We highly recommend

We have been to The Brunswick on many occasions over the years and have had some great times and good grub.Unfortunately, it's unlikely that we will be back anytime soon. Here's why.First of all, the pub was very cold. The lights were all dimmed but none of the candles were lit so the overall vibe was a bit unwelcoming. We ended up having to put our hats/scarves back on to try and stay warm! There was live music in the next room which was distracting. Again, impairing the overall atmosphere. The Sunday Roast menu clearly said that burritos and burgers were available. I ordered a burrito but was told that they weren't available on a Sunday. No biggie! I ordered a roast. The roast arrived fairly quickly and looked amazing but they were lukewarm. The staff took them back to the kitchen and returned approximately 15 minutes later with the same roasts which were exactly the same temperature as before. My 2 fellow diners decided that because they were so hungry they would accept the roasts as they were.I sent mine back for a second time.By the time my roast came back, my fellow diners had almost finished their meal and mine was STILL COLD!I had told the staff that I was happy for them to stick the plate in the microwave so I have no idea why after all this time my food was still cold.(Maybe a faulty microwave?).That plate of food had been passed from pillar to post and handled by various staff members for over half an hour. It really did not feel like an appetising meal that I wanted to eat.The roast potatoes were terrible (hard & soggy) and the cauliflower cheese was crunchy. There was clearly something going on in that kitchen because we saw 2 other tables sending their food back to be reheated.I had looked forward to spending a Sunday afternoon, catching up, leisurely eating lovely food in a warm & cosy establishment. In reality, we were in and out in about an hour, the conversation revolved around our rubbish experience and we left feeling cold and hungry!

Great place for drinks and live music. Nice and accomodating FOH staff. 10/10However I have to say really terrible food. 1/10Couldn't get the chicken to get off the bone as was so dry and tenders were slimy and tasteless...Gave 5 stars still as I know it's a seperate company doing food.

I used to love this pub but last night all but one member of staff were very unwelcoming. I tried to lighten the atmosphere with one when serving me by saying "has it been a long night?" And he just blanked me. I appreciate many of us feel overworked and under paid but the frosty atmosphere is not good for a pub. Some people I don't know behind me chatted to me about it and praised me for trying! We all decided there are much friendlier pubs to visit in Brighton and Hove!

You should come here for the live music, we arrived early to get a great seat with a table, me and my friends had a really good night, we were drinking beer which was excellent, and the staff were extremely friendly

The staff couldn’t have been more welcoming. They saved us a great table as we were in a group. Good selection of drinks too

Love this pub. It's not quite the closest to my house. The beer selection isn't quite the best. You can eat better elsewhere. But it does very well on all of those criteria. And it's a minute from the beach. And the staff are friendly. And they have a great live music/ party room. And a suntrap garden. All of which makes it pretty much my favourite pub.

Sunday Roast ? Really disappointed! ?We've had a roast dinner here before and it was great. So we were really disappointed when all four of our roast turned up somewhere between lukewarm and cold. The staff were really good and took our meals back to the kitchen (which is not run by the pub) but when they returned they were still cold. Josh the manager was great and refunded the cost of our meals and drinks (which is why they got 3 stars) but that does change the fact it was a really disappointing Sunday roast. I think they need to take back control of the kitchen and hopefully they can get back to providing a great roast, along with great service ?

Awesome Sunday Roast from the new FRED's Kitchen at the Brunswick. Serving up mega portions and everything cooked to perfection. Good veg/vegan options as well. Will definitely be a regular fixture for us now ???? thanks so much
