As a culinary experience this was a sad disappointment. We ordered the wine inclusive meal, but sadly no food arrived with the allocated wine. After all the effort they made to ensure we arrived on time, it was extremely disappointing that they could not get any of their timings right.Delicious food, but ultimately not good value for money.

My third visit and already looking forward to the next one! Duncan is a truly talented chef and his food is always imaginative, beautiful and tastes incredible. Ideally located just off the seafront it will always be my first choice for a cheeky weekend in Brighton. Bravo again LFM, you never disappoint

Wonderful place for a special occasion. Exquisite food. Chef Duncan, very passionate about his craft and a lovely bloke.

Not our first visit to The Little Fish Market, and it certainly won't be our last. The food has remained consistently good over the years, with faultless fish cookery, delicately balanced flavours, imaginative ingredient combinations and surprisingly delightful amuse bouches! This evening, the highlights for us were the pan fried cod, cured monkfish, and the diminutive but flavour-packed treacle bread. The only slight disappointment was the peanut butter, chocolate and banana dessert, which was a bit too sweet for my liking and not to my partner's taste, but that is more of a personal preference rather than a failing on the chef's part. The service, also, could have been better, with a bit of indifference and brusqueness at first, but things got better as the evening went on. Don't expect a speedy meal here, and the tasting menu will take a good three hours from start to finish, so as long as you're prepared for that, and want to enjoy delicious seafood and fish, without too many bells and whistles in the form of ambience, this is the place for you.

We did the Octoberbest lunch, and it was absolutely gorgeous. Duncan is always cooking innovative and gorgeous food.

The food was exquisite, the service lacklustre given there were only 2 tables, ambience was non existent and I felt like I was at school with a 6.45pm start. It had the feel and lighting of a cafe where I might spend £15 not what turned out to be £150 a head. The parade of people (presumably kitchen staff) walking past our table shortly after we sat down further detracted from the experience. When I’m spending that much money I expect more of my surroundings and more attentive service. If you remove the wine from the table you shouldn’t wait to be asked to fill up glasses.

We had the best meal! Our first time visiting this beautiful restaurant, we were warmly invited in by the front of house staff and shown to our table. The taster menu was perfectly paired to create many explosions of different flavours in your mouth at any one time, loved every course. Such a lovely evening, very relaxing with great spacing in between dishes leaving you wanting to taste the next. It was a personal touch of chef Duncan coming out to introduce the entries at the start of the meal. Will definitely be going back.

Excellent food spread nicely throughtout the evening, if a tad pricey at £140pp with wine pairing, but this is "fine dining".Nice that the chef (owner?) came and said hello before and after our meal and the two service staff were warm and attentive. The main issue is the basic cafe feel to the decor and furniture, absolutely souless and jarringly echoey and cold.Overall good. Could do better.

On arrival we felt the restaurant was cold so a few of us had to keep our coats on until it warmed up! The lighting was also very bright with bare wood tables, no candles so our initial feeling was that it was more of a cafe feel than a restaurant. Service was very friendly but we didn't feel it matched the £95/head price tag (asking for water, passing plates/cutlery around the table and having to ask for water). We had a wine flight which we would expect the bottle to be brought to the table and corked, introducing the wine rather than a tray of ready-made glasses. Most food dishes were good (one very good). Nice canapés but no bread which I feel should be served with every meal. Nice food and friendly service but at £95 a head we were expecting more.

Really lovely food but very brightly lit and echoey like a canteen. Would be a hundred times better if they dimmed the lights and got some table lamps. What was supposed to be a romantic meal felt more like a parent teacher

Took my partner here for her birthday, and we had a really lovely evening. Great food, atmosphere, and it was great chatting to the head chef/owner after too. Definitely

Had the tasting with wine pairings and was not disappointed, some really flavourful and unusual dishes and nice service team. Highly

Savoring delectable fish and chips, with the added pleasure of a seaside view by Brighton Beach. The staff was friendly and efficient
