Eat here most times I am back visiting family in the area. Our most recent visit was typical - extensive menu, large portions, home cooked feel, quaint/historic ambience with open fireplace. Good rotating selection of real ales. A must visit.

Loved the atmosphere and the decor is fantastic. Spotting the various hanging creatures was great fun. The witch from the beam next to an upside down Tigger and Marge Simpson was hilarious. Staff are very friendly. Food was served quickly. Large portions and very tasty.

Superb food and amazing atmosphere, just lovely service from friendly lovely staff. It is simply a wonderful experience to have a meal and a drink in this perfect pub. And even better the view from the parking area is beautiful.
