We (hubbie & me) went for the first time on my birthday this week for brunch. Such a lovely place to eat. The food was absolutely delicious, the young man who served us was lovely & we had the sunshine as well! We will definitely be back ?

Came along with friends place quite rustic limited menu but tasty, staff efficient. Small area for car parking.

Very nice Tapas evening. Food was tasty and portion was just right, Paella rice perhaps a little too Al Dentè but very tasty. Staff were attentive and polite in what was a very busy evening. Will definitely be back!Wheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible from car park by a smooth decked ramp.

We love it here. By a river where you can hire boats (although we didn't this time), with fabulous views over open fields and plenty of ootdoor seating. Food and service were good. This is a happy place for us.

Three of us had lunch here recently. The surroundings and atmosphere are lovely. The staff are friendly and welcoming, but the menu is a bit of a challenge for us. We appreciate that the kitchen is small and the food is freshly prepared, but it's all a bit fancy. We do eat many different cuisines, but struggle to find anything on the menu that we don't want to change in some way ie smoked cheese rather than good old mozzarella. Build your own burger would be a good idea, as would a breaded chicken burger. Just a thought ?. Also overpriced..

I've eaten in restaurants all over the world, sampled haute cuisine and flatter myself that I can tell good food from bad.The meal I enjoyed at the Lime Wharf Cafe yesterday lunchtime was one of the most memorable meals I've had anywhere. Fast and attentive service, scenic and comfortable outside dining, generous portions (indeed my wife and I had to ask the kitchen to wrap up the remnants to go). A sublime mixture of quality and quantity. The squid was tender, the salads crisp and the fries plenty 'dirty'.They included a 10% service charge with my bill, I'm not sure if this is normal practice, i had planned to tip more than that, so they unwittingly short changes themselves.I'm in half a mind to keep this all to myself, so this restaurants prowess remains a secret, and is not deluged by other diners, but credit where credit is due.Keep up the good work, I've almost resigned myself to mediocre - poor experiences while dining out in England, however with the Lime Wharf Cafe there is hope! We'll see you today and this time we'll bring our children. Many thanks for the wonderful meal. LWC offers amazing takes on locally-sourced food. The beverages are on point, especially as far as coffee and tea is concerned. I wish they had chai, but with a flexible menu and lovely owners like these, I'm sure it'll come with time if demand is there! The space is beautiful and filled with light no matter the time of year. My other half and I enjoy lovely breakfasts here every weekend, and it sure does pop as a hot-spot during the summer camping seasons. Even so, this spot remains a local favourite, and the crowds aren't bad at all early in the day.Haven't had the opportunity to enjoy the activities hosted here yet, but we look forward to doing so in the future! And it's nice to see so many active younger folks in the area.

We were spending a couple of days in the area and stopped off for brunch on route to Camber Sands. Lots of seating both inside and out, lovely food and coffee. We had Persian Eggs and Mexican Eggs - both delicious and a bit different which was a nice change. Nice atmosphere.

Lovely cafe for brunch or lunch. I felt I was somewhere in the continent, perhaps wishful thinking dreaming of sunny riverside places. It was a bit windy today so we had our brunch inside. Lush views into the garden and fields behind. I had the veggie breakfast without the egg and with a bloody Mary, as you must. My husband had the granola and yoghurt. All delicious and very prompt service.

Happened across this place because of the ice cream sign. The food was first class. The service was great - super friendly. The atmosphere and location/garden were lovely. Couldn’t recommend enough.
