Food is good, but it's basically at the whim of the chef... It's impossible to know what will come out, so I've left hungry as a veggie, but my friends who eat meat were happier... Good flavours, service so so, wouldn't return as it's really not value for money. A restaurant that's more interested in itself than it's customers.

A great dining experience from start to finish. We had the best orange-stuffed olives and cheese, croquettes, amazing pork with an apple sauce, some of the best fish with a wild garlic pesto, tiger prawns, and the most incredible basque-style cheesecake. It was a really nice amount of food at a great value. Plus, a nice cocktail & wine selection, including non-alcoholic option.

Great food but won't be returningI recently visited The Three Faces Restaurant in St Leonards with seven friends, and our experience was far from what we expected. Right from the start, we were made to feel uneasy. Upon arrival, we were informed that the restaurant typically does not cater to parties of our size due to noise concerns, setting a negative tone for the evening. The situation escalated when the waiter, who was serving olives, interrupted my conversation by poking me on the shoulder, insisting I pay attention to him. This was not only surprising but also quite disrespectful. But what happened next was truly astonishing. Later in the evening the same waiter faced and then pointed at one of my friends, and said "stop shouting" when in fact, he just has a naturally loud voice. This accusation was so unsettling that my friend felt compelled to leave the restaurant. The most shocking revelation of the evening was that this waiter was actually the owner of the restaurant. It's bewildering to think that such behavior could come from someone in charge. This was an experience unlike any I have had in the service industry, and not in a good way.Despite the excellent quality of the food, the treatment we received has left a lasting negative impression. It's unfortunate because it also reflects poorly on the other staff members, who were not at fault. I rarely write reviews, but I felt it was necessary to share our experience to perhaps prevent this from happening to future patrons. It is with regret that I say I will not be returning nor can I recommend it to others unless you don't mind being insulted. It is my hope that the restaurant will reconsider its approach to customer service.

Absolutely outstanding dining experience! The culinary creations are crafted from fresh, seasonal produce, ensuring a delightful burst of flavors with each bite. The lack of menu options (except for beverages) adds an element of surprise and trust in the chef's expertise. Every dish is impeccably presented, elevating the overall dining experience. And as for dessert, it's simply divine – a must-try! The restaurant is not only a culinary gem but also boasts a warm and attentive staff, adding to the welcoming ambiance. Highly recommended for an unforgettable dining adventure."

Real shame, booked earlier in the day and was really looking forward to finally eat here. We walked in closely followed by another group of 4, we were ignored as the 4 were attended to and seated,. Then hear mumbles of over booked and alot about sending an email even though my partner had booked in person in the afternoon. No offer of seats or to take our coats, when we ask we were told to sit at the bar, still with our coats on and no one to serve. With the passive aggressive attitude of the front of house we felt so unwelcome we decided to leave. We had heard so many recommendations, sadly we will now never try the food. Sorry chef you were so helpful during the booking!

I have lived in St Leonard’s for eight years and am friends with many of the local restaurant and business owners. It is a wonderful community. Have to say was the worst service and experience I have ever received in the area. Perhaps worst experience of my life when eating out. Utterly dreadful behaviour by server and the owner. I recommend people look elsewhere then visiting this restaurant! Really shocked appalling honestly wish I had never gone in

Most enjoyable meal and evening. The restaurant is quite intimate and tastefully laid out. The food was undoubtedly the star of the night. There is no menu, but chef's choice, which offers up a varied selection of tapas style dishes. It's therefore difficult, if not impossible, to recall precise details but we started with amazing marinated olives, salted almonds and manchego cheese cubes with shallots (?). Followed by an array of gorgeous grilled king prawns, incredible marinated spiced/pickled cherries, a sublime, fried Monte enebro goats' cheese, then lamb cutlets (slightly overdone for my taste) followed and all finished off with burnt basque cheesecake, which was a triumph. The presentation and the flavours were exceptional and without fault. The wines are very reasonable and equally delicious. Approx. £150 for two, with a bottle of wine plus desert wines was very reasonable. I generally prefer a menu although I can't fault the food choices, which we were served. Minor niggle was being asked if we wanted some of the dishes when the answer was an obvious, a big fat, yes! Alan, one of the owners, looked after us masterfully and the waitress Sally, added a touch of glamour style, class and unassuming service. But head chef Steve walks off with the trophy! This is definitely a hot spot for the forthcoming chilly winter months.

Absolutely love this place - the food was delicious and beautifully served, with a lovely wine to accompany. We visited last night with two friends and have been telling everyone about it today - we'll definitely be back!
