The guys who run are so handsome to ? such good price, amazing quality and I love their Selection of vinegar’s!

It was a lovely little old school pub, the staff were friendly and the service was super. Food was lovely to and absolutely reasonably priced. We partied on Saturday night and came back on Sunday for their delicious Sunday Roast. ?✨✨✨
A huge shoutout to Sarah, Casey, and Roxy, who went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. Their attention to detail, friendliness, and genuine care made such a difference – nothing was too much trouble, and they made the whole weekend feel effortless for us.???

Bay Spice, Eversfield Pl, Hastings, Saint Leonards-on-seaWe ate here two years ago on a weekend trip to Hastings and have been talking about it ever since. We made a bee-line for it when visiting Hastings again this weekend. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised to see a couple new dishes added to the menu. As chilli heads, my husband and I particularly love the choices of hot dishes which expands beyond other restaurant’s one option of vindaloo. The hot dishes here are really special and full of flavour. Well worth the money. We only wish we had a Bay Spice near us in London!

Beef lasagne was clearly homemade, big portion and with tasty salad & GB. They also do small portion lunch options which is good to see.
I had a genuine welcome, chilled atmosphere, no rush to leave. All you can want from a pub....pool, darts, mixed clientele, good music. Highly recommend.

We were a group with different needs and not particularly easy ones, and our server as well as the person who responded to my email and questions, were nothing but kind, discret and humane. I was very touched by this. Thankyou.
The food was beautiful and “soigné” and we were very happy to find two vegetarian dishes that were as complete as a meat based proposition.

Nice Chinese Takeaway

They called us why we could not get our order since it was already prepared. (8mins from ordering in the app). Since we went to a restaurant here in cambridge we realize we made a wrong order. The owner/staff from the Nice Chinese take away accommodated us and cancelled our order and processed our refund.

1 Western Rd, Saint Leonards-on-seaI can only give 5 stars, but if I could give more I would! My partner and I booked Three Faces for my birthday meal. We were excited and expected good things but it exceeded our already-high expectations. We had the best meal we’ve had for as long as we can remember! The food was delicious - a real leisurely dining experience … we sat back and enjoyed a bottle of wine while plate after plate of delicious food was brought out for us. My partner and I have different dietary requirements and despite booking the chef’s menu of sharing plates, we were more than catered for (and without being made to feel difficult). Every single plate was absolutely delicious and I’ll be thinking about the basque cheesecake for a long time to come (and I don’t even usually like basque cheesecake!)
The food was amazing, but what really made this meal so special was the atmosphere. A real cosy, hidden away restaurant with a small number of tables and a real friendly, buzzing neighbourhood feel. We had fantastic conversations with all the tables around us and a lovely chat with the owners. We’re from out of town and it had the unique ability of making us feel like locals. Just a gorgeous atmosphere and vibe I’ve never had anywhere else. This is helped by the fact that you never for a second feel rushed out - in fact it seems the whole point is to have a long, relaxed meal full of delicious food, lots of drink and lots of conversation.
We’ll definitely be coming back and I’m torn between keeping this one to myself and telling everyone I know about it!
(As a side note, the restaurant is also dog friendly, which made a big difference to our meal. Our two whippets snoozed under the table while we ate, so we could enjoy our meal without feeling like we needed to rush back!)

Horse & Groom, 4 Mercatoria, Saint Leonards-on-seaJust because it might have historic interest and a friendly atmosphere, if you are not a local don't go to this pub. It is old with wobbly timbers holding up the ceiling. Instead of the range of cocktails, lagers, and pilsners you might hope for, it sells things like Harvey's Bitter that has to be hand pumped and hasn't been chilled. And instead of something nice to eat like tempura courgettes with ponzu dipping sauce or pintxos de txaka served on a slate, it has crisps, peanuts and scampi fries or the occasional cheese and tomato baps. It doesn't have a piped music sound system. There is no karaoke. So for entertainment you will have to amuse oneself by reading, talking to people, or with board games like chess, backgammon and scrabble. Don't go there you'll hate it.

Absolutely stunning food. Pies to die for! Great service and fantastic food.
Very busy and clearly a really good local for the locals but also welcoming outsiders.

My full English was perfik. I eschew mushrooms and this was fine by them (some places get grumpy about it?!)
They make a good flat white too i.e. not a half sized cappuchino. Silky milk not frothy with a minimal head just holding the coffee oil - mmmmm.
And there's plenty of goodies to take away from sticky buns to deli nibbles.

31 London Rd, Saint Leonards-on-seaThe best fish & chips I’ve had in years, cooked fresh and considering I soak my chips in their many amazing homemade vinegars..( I had garlic, rosemary and onion) and walked around the co-op with them squished in my arms for about 10 minutes they are still crispy and delicious chips and sausage! The guys who run are so handsome to ? such good price, amazing quality and I love their Selection of vinegar’s!

The Welcome
55 Sedlescombe Rd N, Hastings, Saint Leonards-on-seaSmall, unique pub. They do lovely food. Although there isnt much variety. Large range of drinks. I suggest to book a table because i can be very unpredictable with how busy the pub can be during the evening.

Beef lasagne was clearly homemade, big portion and with tasty salad & GB. They also do small portion lunch options which is good to see.
I had a genuine welcome, chilled atmosphere, no rush to leave. All you can want from a pub....pool, darts, mixed clientele, good music. Highly recommend.

13 Grand Parade, Saint Leonards-on-seaI’ll be honest, I took my daughter out for a coffee, and she wanted pancakes as a snack, and £10 I thought was a bit punchy for pancakes in Hastings.
However when it arrived it was pretty dam good, lots of fresh fruit, ice cream, Topline etc, I had a simple lemon slice and hot chocolate!
All in all, nice place by the seaside to chill, have a coffee and watch the world go by.

Graze on Grand
16 Grand Parade, Saint Leonards-on-seaOur group of three had a great evening at Graze, on the seafront at St Leonards. Lovely friendly server really knew her stuff about food & wine. We started with a glass of English sparkling wine each and finished with luscious Baron Bigod cheese & a glass of PX. In between I had delicious fishcake with Asian- influenced slaw. Recommended.

Bull Inn, 530 Bexhill Rd, Hastings, Saint Leonards-on-seaLiterally dropped on this delicious pub randomly looking for dog friendly places near Hastings when we were staying over for a night.
Absolutely stunning food. Pies to die for! Great service and fantastic food.
Very busy and clearly a really good local for the locals but also welcoming outsiders.
Chef popped out as well and spoke to us, to check in on how we liked our food too!
Top notch!!
