Went to the Bell for first time in 30 years for an engagement party. Had a wonderful evening, buffet food was excellent and service from bar staff was friendly and very efficient. Only criticism was the gents needed a good clean up, wife said ladies was fine.

We visited the pub as it has a bit of family history. Clare and the team were very friendly and accomodating. It was lovely seeing the old photos. The food was delicous! The toilets were clean. The prices were perfect. Thank you

Stopped here for a beer on my bike ride home from work today. This pub is really nice, does food, got a garden, and open til 2300 most of the week! (1am friday n Saturday!)So I suggest that if u want to come to a decent countryside boozer, u get urself down here ??

Nice Pub in all, parking, friendly staff, quiet location & good atmosphere. It was cold when we visited although the open fire was there. It was never lit, making the place a little on the chilly side. Come on, get that fire on the go. ?? The back room is fairly big & homes a pool table which is a nice touch.

Once again we attended a music evening listening to the beautiful voice of Leah. The locals made us welcome, including encouraging my grandchildren to dance in the allocated area. Clean toilets. (A must with small children) looking forward to going back

Lovely quiet pub, often visit here with my children as they have a nice garden for them to play in. The landlady is very accommodating and great with the customers, my kids love her as they always get a lolly or treat. The pub is trying hard in these difficult times and have been putting on events throughout the month, karaoke is definitely a favourite of mine. If you’re looking for a quiet drink, a cold one in the garden or a good laugh with friends I’d recommend.

The Bell is a lovely little country pub. I come here often with my husband and children. After reading the previous review I do not believe they are referring to the same pub. For a start the wonderful landlady doesn't drink. I would hate for people to be put off of my local which caters for people of all ages. The locals are lovely and most of the clientèle are older and certainly not teenagers turning it into a club. There are cctv cameras surrounding the entire premises and I've never felt uncomfortable with having my children there. They cater very well for the kids. I could not rate this typical English pub highly enough.

Very surprised at the last review for The Bell Inn, I can only assume a disgruntled customer, I have been a local resident of Golden Green for over 10 years, the current management are local people who took the pub on to save closure and ensure the residents and passer by had a "proper" pub to congregate in, There are a lot of well run gastro pubs in the area that foodies can visit, the Bell is pitched as a local pub to drink and socialise in, a decent pint with good company, The pub does put on functions such as Karaoke and bands from time to time that of course help to keep the place open, Like any local pub use it or lose it, I for one would not want to see The Bell change.
