Hotel is a dream for a single person.I have to travel for work a lot which can be daunting. From the moment I walked in and was greeted by reception, I felt at ease.The room was clean, high standard and all I'd expect.I chose to eat in the restaurant alone as I was feeling brave. I booked for 8pm when I arrived at the hotel.When it came to dinner, the lady at the welcome desk remembered me from booking and took me to my table, I was instantly made to feel comfortable and at ease, which is usually difficult for me eating alone.My waitress Jess then came over, and was a breathe of fresh air, perfectly attentive, without being overbearing, and at no point did I feel I was alone. There was no awkward removing of the Place setting opposite me, which highlights you being on your own. She was polite, welcoming and just wonderful. I didn't even read my book through dinner I felt that comfortable just sat enjoying my food.Staff make a hotel, and a guests experience, and as a young solo female traveller with work, this hotel and its staff are one of the best I have ever stayed at.I hope the staff who attended to me throughout my staff, see this and know just how comfortable and happy they made my stay!Thank you!

Could be so much better. The rooms are OK and are always serviced promptly but the bars are understaffed. The food and drink was fine. The pool complex is excellent after a hot round of golf. The two courses could do with better maintenance and better signage. The GPS buggies are quite irritating, constantly deciding that they don't go to where your ball is and without yardage assistants. The halfway house wasn't open on a hot and humid Wednesday.

A excellent venue for golfers with a really nice spa..bedrooms were very are good and all the staff were just brilliant .The golf is managed superbly by a great team ..we were very impressed .Both courses in excellent condition very challenging .We were a ladies golfing group.If only the they could improve the dining experience . It is such a great pity my evening meals were very very disappointing..Roast catering beef was tasteless with no flavour at all ..The Duck the next evening.. again tasteless over cooked and sauce had no flavour . Sorry ... very disappointed with meals in the evening.Staff are really very good throughout the whole hotel .

What an incredible experience! My first massage so not much experience there but i was nearly asleep so must have been good! All the stuff were so polite and helpful! The room was the luxury suite which was really impressive, with the best views possible and evening of stars. Would 100% be coming back for a longer stay!

We had a group of 16 golfers for 2 nights, and 3 rounds of golf. The rooms were spacious, clean and all had lovely views. The service was superb. We ordered our evening meals at breakfast and so we weren't waiting forever for our evening meal as we have in other venues we've stayed at. We ate delicious food with great service. The guy (Gary Barlow lookalike) welcoming us for breakfast was delightful as were all the receptionists and bar staff. The pro shop sold a great choice of golf wear at very reasonable prices which was great because I had to buy some waterproof golf trousers to wear on 3 wet rounds of golf!We all had a terrific time and hope to return. I would certainly recommend both the venue and the golf courses.

Nice place helpful staff and good food. They gym is surprising well equipped although there are a few things that could be fixed. Is the fitness centre the steam room is set so low it’s ineffective, there is also the coffee machine that was out of coffee and never refilled in the 3 days I was there. The last thing is the room temperature a complaint I have read before I understand the room being cold to begin with as all electronics and heating are off but after switching it to heating it would repeatedly return to cooling the room and would need to be checked and adjusted many times a day

Bar and restaurant staff on point but we're understaffed, they were doing they best they could.My one complaint - Upon checking into the hotel the reception staff failed to follow the simple checking in process and didn't ask if we would like to put a card/payment down. So when it came to ordering room service I had to first go down to the reception to pay in my not so smart pj's! And I still had to pay extra for room service.The rooms were clean and the food was very good. The pool/jacuzzi was quite busy/noisy.Overall i still want to give the hotel 5 stars and would recommend.

Tough review to add because in fact, the service in the Hotel was superb, couldn't fault it. Unfortunately the service in the Golf Club was ordinary to say the least. 15 mins wait to just buy a drink in the pro-shop - ridiculous. No service from the bar after 6pm of you're not a club member - what is this 1850? This is old school ideals created by committees of old men, no doubt! No email or information about the greens having been just scarified/repaired - wouldn't have booked these dates if we knew this as the putting surfaces were terrible on the East Course.As to the hotel the food was fantastic and their service was excellent. £6 per pint is a bit steep though I have to say, would expect that sort of price in Central London but in East Sussex? Polite and knowledgeable reception staff and the young people managing the dinner and breakfast services were a credit to the hotel. Room was totally fine and comfortable without being awesome.May return bit only after they've changed their archaic decision to refuse drink services to non-members after 6pm in the golf club.

Myself and my newly wed husband are absolutely blown away by this amazing hotel! All of the staff went above and beyond to ensure that our special day ran smoothly and honestly, it really did. From the caterer who helped us put our cake together to the golf cart drivers who chauffeured us around just so we could have our pictures taken. Each and everyone of you were absolutely amazing and nothing was too much trouble. We both want to thank you ALL for such a wonderful wedding day experience! And a beautiful weekend stay, the food was divine and the spa was so lovely. We are still on cloud nine. We also want to say a big thank you to both Beth and Rachel for being there from start to finish and making sure the day ran as smoothly as possible. Every email I’ve ever sent with questions or worries were quickly dealt with by Beth, she was so lovely and professional the whole way through. My girlfriend and I had the best time here during the Easter weekend, from the moment we walked through the doors the staff went above and beyond to make our stay extra special. The hotel is beautiful and the views are incredible. The food was amazing as was the service we received. Also to mention that the spa is very good. I highly recommend staying here, we will be back.
