Amazing food and customer service. I would definitely be going there again. It was a nice spot to visit and very family-friendly. Serves amazing drinks as well. Passion Star Martini is more than what I expected. I really loved the experience!

Food / some of the courses were poor to average. Even when dining in a Italian chain restaurant I do not expect to be served ‘smooth’ shell, frozen meatballs only half smothered in what is an decent sauce to disguise them, we’re they even real meat? I do not recall these being as bad in other Bella Italia restaurants.Feels like this restaurant or the business of late are sourcing ingredients from lesser suppliers in a bid to increase profits.Why did they drop their wonderful crab ball starter off the menu?Olives served without any cocktail sticks when raised we were told that the entire restaurant, it has what is supposed to be a functioning bar, does not have any in. My Light ‘N’ Stormy cocktail was fine but had two wedges of browned limes in, seriously- how long does it take for citrus to spoil like that then - if they are then don’t put them in someone’s cocktail.The tiramisu martini we sent back and we’re told that they didn’t have the correct ingredients, clearly tried to make it up with watery ingredients.Hardly surprising going by the three tiramisu’s that we were served for our final courses they had no idea what one was supposed to be like (see earlier review by another customer, they weren’t wrong!) - the worse tiramisu we’ve had since being served a plate of chocolate-dusted shaving foam in a Miller & Carter (Lakeside, before it sank).Main courses were fine, the chicken Milanese very tasty as always. Porchetta pasta Christmas special was OK.The Basildon Bella Italia served up the polar opposite, just as terrible, sent two of them back and requested one be taken off the bill. Dry and barely any mascarpone to be seen.Really unfair on the staff as they were fine but unable to offer the best service.
Our first visit was staying for the weekend with family. Quite busy when arrived, big groups, families and couples. Lucky to get a table. The staff was attentive and very polite. Ordered food, Marco Polo & Pizza and tea for 2. I was surprised that food came within 20 minutes, seeing the amount of tables. Good was on point, fresh, flavourful and ££ price too. I definitely recommend it to friends ***** stars!

Amazing dining experience at Basildon Bella Italia . We were served by Livui , Rosie ,Max , Dan and Tricia ( Managers) so welcoming and are so attentive . Tables were cleared promptly and their clear knowledge regarding allergies was reassuring . Restaurant was clean and tidy . All staff greeted everyone . Restaurant has Christmas decorations up , great for family / friends , work Xmas events , birthdays, special occasions etc. loads of free parking outside . Thank you Bella Italia Basildon Team , you clearly have a good on site management!! See you soon as we have now booked our works Xmas event !

Best place ever for people with allergies. It’s quite hard to find somewhere to eat when both gluten and dairy are no go but this place made it easy and the food was delicious. Our adult granddaughter said it was the best meal out she had ever had and she felt very safe and confident to eat here. There were 8 of us and we all thoroughly enjoyed our food and the experience. Lovely server and team.

I visited Bella Italia in Basildon Festival Leisure Park on a Saturday night with family after some bowling. It was spontaneous but I always look at a few reviews before going to a restaurant. As usual with reviews, it was a mixed bag. So we went along not knowing what to expect in terms of service and quality. We were so pleased with the restaurant. The service was absolutely fantastic. The host and servers were all cheery and helpful. I can’t tell you what a difference that makes as a guest. When I go out, it’s to enjoy myself and be happy - so I really appreciate it when the environment has a good vibe. Our orders were taken quickly, drinks offered and brought quickly. Food came in good time and was well cooked and hot (another thing I really look for - very hot food!) We all really enjoyed our meals. 4 adults 1 child and everyone said how much they enjoyed their food. We ordered dessert too and that was also nice. So for a chain restaurant, in a prime location where they probably could get away with less effort and smiles and still get customers, this Bella Italia was a real treat and provided a lovely evening. Thank you guys. And thank you especially to Hubert who served us. He was very friendly and helpful.

In a 90% empty restaurant today I’m afraid the food was terrible. When we were given the menus we were told we couldn’t have anything with salad as they didn’t have any. Ordered chicken Milanese, just came with chips no tomato sauce, dry and bland. How they manage to stay open heaven knows. We won’t be returning.
