Ordered New Year’s Eve a mixed starter for 2, a main and 2 nann breads for delivery. We did not receive the Nann breads and when we rang they said they will deliver the bread the next day? . When I asked for my money back they said the driver was on his way home to London and would deal with it tomorrow……still waiting!!!!

Have been using this restaurant on and off for years and to be fair the quality of the food is always good no complaints what so ever apart from sometimes it’s quite a wait owing to takeaway orders

AVOID!!! MUGGED OFF !!! If I could give 0 stars I would. Went there tonight after years and it took us over an hour for our starters to come because the server forgot to take our order ! The drinks say £2.25 on the menu but we got charged £4.50 EACH?!?! we complained and he only took £7 off the bill.. which was basically the included tip. Food wasn’t worth the wait - do not waste your money!

Ordered a takeaway 45 mins for delivery arrived after an hour, food stone cold! Prawn on purée cold tasteless and the pancake was greasy also cold, chicken pasanda tasted like a Korma also cold, mushroom rice was ok but cold, they sent the wrong dish for myself, rang them up, 40 mins later my correct dish arrived COLD! My keema Nan was very thin at one end and extremely thick at the other, the thick side wasn’t even cooked, it was still raw dough, very lazy cooking in my opinion! Most of our food was binned! Complete waste of £36 overpriced rubbish, never again will we waste our hard earned cash at this place ever again!

Came here recently. The first person who was a fellow Asian who spoke to us in an English accent but briefly asked us if we wanted poppadoms. Wasn’t really impressed. You’re charging for poppadoms! We didn’t even ask and you offered that so we accepted thinking it would be a complimentary item. Little did we know that this would be £6.50 added to the bill. Anyway, while we were ordering I ordered a Budweiser bottled even though it cost £2.50. And I did it twice as I had no choice!That’s never a good starting point. LolThe rest of the meals were messed up to say the least. And they used a staff member who couldn’t even speak basic English to serve us so if there was an issue they could blame it on that poor staff member. Typical!There was sugar in what was supposed to be a spicy hot curry, there was no soy sauce when we ordered a chow mein. there was no flavour and too much oil!There was some leftover food and as we didn’t want to waste it we asked for container. They also charged us for each container in the final bill.The bill also is hand written. It should be itemised and in print. They are avoiding taxes.Please avoid as when we tried to mention the complaint they played it down saying food was cheap that night.Goodbye Mintoo! Stop fooling the good people of Basildon! They deserve so much better!

Stunning food... Been going there last 20 years or so... And has always been brilliant. If you want a curry in Basildon... You won't find a better place :-)

We went in there with my dad and my freind and it was lovely until I finished my mains and started to feel violently ill. I was sick the whole ride home and my stomach was doing flips; i then later had diarrhoea making me think the chicken was not cooked enough. Don’t recommend, never going back.
