Best Chinese in the area food always full of flavour, good portion sizes. The curry is so tasty. And always arrives hot.

food is always delivered at a reasonable time but that may be because we only live about 10/15 minutes away, always hot on arrival, only downside is the thickness of the curry sauce, we used to order from river swan before it shut down, the taste is nice it’s just a little watery in comparison, also sometimes the chips are a little overdone and more like cracklings but recently this has improved

Wow wow wow used a lot of Chinese takeaways in and around Basildon in the last 20 years I've been doing collection from wickford last 3 years (burden )I feel that I actually want to try something new and different big menu looking forward to my next takeaway massively impressed worthy of the five star

We ordered food and asked for no onions and veg in one of the dishes. When the food arrived, they had put veg and onions in the dish, plus the curry was very watery. Not entirely happy with the order at all and won't consider ordering from them again. Sad really, but there you go.

Ordered from here a couple of weeks ago and food was OK, thought we'd give them another go using menu they gave us but prices were hiked over 10% I appreciate costs are up everywhere but you're pricing yourself out of the market

Vegetarian options: It is an easy choice to pick rice and noodles for a takeaway night in. The salt and chilli tofu is phenomenal, I could eat it every day.

Ordered a delivery for the first time from Rice and Noodles tonight. It arrived in about 20 minutes. I had the king prawn with mix vegetables and my partner had Chicken Hong Kong style. We got udon mushroom noodles and large egg fried rice as sides. They gave us free prawn crackers which was nice! The food was warm but not hot, but that’s nothing out of the ordinary when getting a takeaway. They were happy to accommodate to my intolerance to peppers and the prawns were perfectly cooked. My partner said his main was nice. The udon mushroom noodles were delicious but I will ask to omit the bean sprouts next time so there are more of the noodles as by the time it had mushrooms too there was quite a lot of veg. The large egg fried rice was a generous portion and it was lovely and soft but there was not any noticeable egg in it so I scrambled some egg at home and added it. Bit of a shame as we really love egg rice and it would have been a 5/5 review if there had been the egg we expected in it. I will ask for more egg next time and hope they can accommodate. Overall will definitely order again as despite there being took for improvement everything was nicely seasoned, fresh and not stodgy or oily. Thank you for a tasty dinner!

If you like Chinese food do not order from here. I waited an hour and fifteen minutes for a delivery to arrive and when it eventually turned up it was cold! I called them to complain and they offered me a 20% discount off my next order. Errrrr, no thanks.Save your money, don’t order from here.

Chinese open again after changing management. It's now called Rice and Noodles. Menu has been updated and includes Chinese, Thai and Japanese dishes. Quality of food is better than before and it was good then.
