Little gem of a place. Would be hard pressed to find a better Turkish restaurant in Basildon. Their lamb and chicken shishes are very tender and juicy.

I don’t normally leave reviews but this needs one, to start the food is horrible and expensive.The food quality is poor, meat is chewy.Flavour? Non existent, the bread had more flavour than the meat.The person below who said it’s as good as Dalston must have been drunk when they wrote that as this could not even compare to anywhere in Dalston.Lamb chops here are £21.50 for £3.50 more you can go to eyna or kervan and get proper nice food.As someone who loves Turkish food and has tried Turkish food in over 50 different restaurants this one is by far the worst.The service is beyond poor, plus the restaurant was completely empty on a Friday night. That should have been my first sign to walk out and leave.I might as well have just thrown my £30 in the bin just like I did with this food, it ended up uneaten and in the bin.

Beautiful food. My recommendations would be the Adana Kebab or Alti Ezmeli lamb. Both amazing dishes, the chef is obviously very passionate about food.On the last order we had, they even threw in a free portion of baklava which was really nice of them :)Really cannot rate them enough!

I moved to Laindon from the Romford area where there are loads of good Turkish places about 3 years ago and struggled to find a good one round here since moving.Discovered Tav a couple of months ago and am now a regular, really good food, quality ingredients, really nice people that run the place too.Lamb chops are massive and are amazing!

Got a takeaway, great quick service with a friendly delivery lady ,my wife had a medium chicken Shish and I had a large lamb shish and both meal were absolutely superb , the meat was lovely and tender with not one bit of fat on it , so two empty plates later couldn’t recommend highly

Cooked on an open charcoal grill. Food was incredible but seriously, this place is way too good for Basildon ? Totally wasted here & is good as any in Dalston.Vegetarian options: Grilled vegetables, falafel, hummus and usual Turkish foodParking: Good parking but a bit tight to navigate when busy. Ramped access to the path that leads to restaurants and shops.Wheelchair accessibility: Although it’s a heavy glass door tht opens outside it’s wide enough and spacious enough inside to turn and sit at the tables. No WC fit for wheelchair though.
