Kid-friendliness: We have been dining in and ordering delivery from The Coriander for 10 or more years. During this time we have never had a bad meal or service. Owner has excellent customer service and care stills as do his staff. Meals are hot in temperature whether ordering a take away or eating in restaurant.Restaurant is clean cosy and very clean with some background music.Nothing is too much trouble for the staff here.Throughly recommending all this restaurant has to offer dining in or out. 5 *****

We ordered home delivery in our anniversary day ,it was really horrible ,there is no salt in any of the items ,we hardly able to manage to eat this in our special day.. atleast they should not do such kind of minor mistakes for deliveries .

Like others say not bad but nothing special. The food was ok and the service was friendly but no music , no atmosphere and a dated restaurant compared to most Indian restaurants we go to.

I have been ordering takeaway food from the Coriander for over 8 years, and have always enjoyed their dishes, the quality and depth of flavour has been excellent until recently when I ordered a lamb Dansak, on opening the container to the lamb Dansak I immediately noticed that it was covered in a light orange sauce, previously the sauce had been a deep red colour, when I took my first bite the curry strength in the lamb was ok, but what was noticeable was the complete lack of general spicing, I imagine if you cooked lamb and just added chilli and nothing else, it would taste similar to this dish, Normally you can taste the coriander in the food, but in this case I couldn’t, if this is typical of the quality of food they’re serving up, I will be going elsewhere in future

Had a Lamb Dansak, I’ve had this dish before and it’s always been very tasty, however the dish I got today, wasn’t anything like what I’ve previously had, it was hot but lacked spicing, I couldn’t detect any coriander in this dish at all, which is strange as this is what the restaurant is named, and it was coloured light orange, previous dishes were deep red in colour, without doubt the best Indian take away in Basildon is located in Clay hill road
