Recent changes 'at this store' cause me to amend the below 5-star review written in the past. This store (and every non-franchise store we visited) used to provide free condiments (jam for your scone/teacake, ketchup for your toasted sandwich etc) because.. the board cleverly raised product prices so they could appear to give condiments for free.Under new site management here, it is now an expensive additional charge. What is next, a charge for milk? sugar? I do Not think this store reflects the Coca-Cola brand values and if it is a decision at board level for the Costa brand, Coca-Cola should be informed of the negative publicity it evokes in an already competitive market.I will leave the old 5-star review comments below to show how this decision is changing customer sentiment;"Newly refurbished this is one of the Vanguard 'stores of the future' introduced by new owner Coca-Cola. With notably different menus they will take market share from Pret a Manger (freshly made baguettes/sandwiches). Being a busy store, this is where good staff matter. Danika is one of the reasons customers return, greeting you with a lovely smile and happy demeanor, excelling in customer service. Frankie has a keen memory, he is quick at his work and customer focused. Keelan is often on the coffee machine and is a maestro at the job. I went back for a napkin and Ketchup, Keelan observing the customer returning despite already making other coffees, guessed the reason and was ready with them in hand. When customers don't have to say anything, that's good service!"
