Because of the excellent reviews we visited queen's park fish bar for the very first time earlier today. We ordered skate and chips and waited for this to be cooked For us. On arriving home we found the skate was so overcooked ( both the batter and fish ) that it had to be put in the bin as was inedible.we are so so disappointed and would have returned it if we lived locally and not in basildon.your comments would be appreciated and this is a genuine review of our experience.we have just totally waisted our money John butler as per

The worst food in the area by a long way. Go to Mr fish opposite the station much better.Imagine coming to a fish and chip shop to wait 20 mins for them to take a fish out the freezer. The fish was soggy and tasteless.
