(Literally being pushed through) I suffer with anxiety and everytime I tried to mention it. He would say something else. When asked after paying was told we should of done it at time of paying. You have our table number it could be added on!. The guy on till just wanted to get through his last hour of shift. We also had to wait an hour for our food. And was not told at the time that they were under staffed. The lady in the maroon coloured shirt was extremely helpful. And offered us a free pudding. So we tipped her. This is called good customer service. We won't be coming back in a hurry.

Nice meal with friends. Very busy so long wait for drinks and food. Restaurant floor quite messy but tables were at least being cleared quickly. Tables and high chairs very sticky. Good for families but as just a couple now we probably wouldn't come back unless with friends.

Last time I went here years ago was awful so thought we'd try again, it was lovely best halloumi fries I've ever had, lovely and crispy! Mains were fab to. Will definitely be back. Great family evening out for a great price.

This place is OK. Quite nice inside, modern ish and as a hungry horse you know the food will be reasonable quality and good value. Tables were a bit sticky and at lunchtime one or two of the lone wolfs were watching stuff on their phones which was loud enough to be annoying - but apart from that it was good. Grill was out of order so limited menu - apparently being fixed in May 2022 but has been out of action for a few weeks.

After a previous bad experience a few years ago, I decided to revisit. Have been twice in the last month now and have to say there was a massive improvement. Fantastic manager there, Rob, who goes above and beyond to assist with queries. Will definitely be back again soon. Great food at reasonable prices and friendly service too.

Unfortunately terrible meal. 1.45 hour wait for food. Wrong food received. Cold food. The list is endless. Staff were apologetic but did not address the issues without being told to and should be embarrassed by the service provided. Free desert was provided but only at our request. I feel the bill should have been refunded to entice us to actually return.

However there is a fatal lack of staff here - waiting 10 mins in queues at the bar to order food and drinks - the bar needs 2/3 staff permanently based there - we would drink more if we didnt have to wait.

We don't live in Braintree, but we make the journey there with the children as it is kid friendly (playground in the garden for dry weather) Prices and deals are very affordable. Large pub/eatery so you're not on top of eachother. Accommodated us when we had a large group. Always our go-to pub with the children for a meal or a sunny day to sit outside with some drinks

Ordering through the app was difficult as it wouldn't let us pay. After being able to eventually order, the food arrived quickly but cold and not as described, plus had to ask for the drinks. Nobody came to check if everything was OK so it couldn't be rectified.
