China Village in Braintree is a gem! The crispy chilli beef was a flavor explosion, the chilli and honey chicken was perfectly balanced, and the sweet and sour chicken balls were delightful. The salt and chilli chips were addictive, and the shrimp fried rice was a hit. Their variety of fried rices and the chicken chow mein were spot on. A real treat for the taste buds! A great last meal of 2023

I ordered duck fried rice and was terrible. 80% of the duck was mainly fat!!!!! the rice was a ok standard. the chicken with sweet and sour was tasting to much fat on the batter. overall 15 pound for a meal that half of it was chucked away was terrible. avoid this place is my advise infact maybe employ a chef that can cook to improve your services. and to clear it up you delivered to holiday inn Braintree 20 mins early

Placed a large order that came to over £70 it was 40 mins later than arranged plus cold as the driver needed fuel and had lots of drop offs. Manager agreed to refund £30 to my card but so far not received. When reheated the food was good just feel let down by poor customer service

Food turned up 30 mins later- delayed due to no drivers and the driver getting fuel on the way. Food was good but cold. To be fair after complaining received a partial refund however their driver was rude when dropped off

Good range of dishes at reasonable prices. Cooked well and good taste. Not overly oily as with some of the other Chinese restaurants in the area. We normally order by phone and then collect. Waiting times normally about 30 mins from ordering, which is good for the area.

Really enjoyed the food after being recommended by my daughter. Food was delivered on time and had plenty of fresh veg in aswell. I will definitely order from here again.

I had a stomach ache after eating the food and they cooked it with mushrooms after I told them I didn't want mushrooms! I said I was a vegetarian, but they still gave me prawn crackers!

Not impressed been a regular customer for the last twelve years plus orded a meal at. 5-20 on Christmas eve thay said it was busy it was first come first served it arrived at 09_oo 3hrs 40 minutes later the delivery driver apologise for the delay and said we should never have had to wait that long will now be going back to our old one where we now the order will not keep being put back

Afyer having to wait for over 2 hours the last time we ordered and not having a very nice meal, we decided to give them another go. Waited just over an hour and 40 minutes for it to be delivered and thrown at me, the driver ran back to his car and then came back and knocked as he realised he hadn't taken payment. All paid and finally sat down to eat to find the portion sizes awful I got 3 chicken balls in a pack! Ribs were awful. Another awful experience from them. Total waste of money as I've had to go out and get something else for dinner!
