Love TOAST ❤️. I have been getting my daily dose of caffeine from the Braintree branch since it opened. Love the staff members, love the atmosphere and absolutely love the coffee and toasties (Chicken & Mushroom?)The recent changes on the menu only help to get that TOAST into my belly faster ?.Long live the TOAST ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I've always supported Toast since they started. But the Braintree branch has gone down in my estimation. I was unaware of the fact that quite recently, they have started using this branch as a trial experiment with a limited menu, despite the fact their website currently advertises that the Braintree branch carries the full menu.So because of this, I went and got breakfast out elsewhere in the end this morning. When I asked them about this on social media, they said it was a decision from higher up to try and reduce waiting times.Such a decision has been poorly executed for one thing, and is missing the point entirely for another. People don't come to Toast for short waiting times. They come because they want to support a local business, that's sourcing locally, boosting the local economy and producing amazing toasties that are to be savoured. If we were coming for short waiting times and a limited menu, we'd go next door to Costa. Hopefully the owners come to their senses and realise that.

We used to love going to toast every weekend, but the recent menu change not having marmite or being able to choose the bread type anymore is such a shame. Won’t be back unless this is changed.

Lovely little coffee shop. First time on braintree, was looking for a new coffee shop to sit and drink in whilst I write.Staff were absolutely lovely and really friendly. Atmosphere was great and other customers were really friendly.Good was good too. Will definitely be my new weekly coffee spot.

First visit. Nice atmosphere so decided to have a sit-in cappuccino but was disappointed that it was served in a paper takeaway cup. I dunno, just seems wrong somehow. I'll use another coffee shop, thank you!

Never seen such a disorganised and chaotic coffee shop in my life. After a 5min unacknowledged wait (we were first in the queue), we left empty handed and went next door to Costa.

Looked cosy and comfortable so decided to have a sit-in coffee. But be aware, the coffee is still served in takeaway cups - just seems wrong. I'll go elsewhere, thank you.

My hawaiian ? bit too generous with the pineapple. Best way to combat the cost of living is too pass it onto the customer.

Lovely place to sit outside and watch the world go by, but sadly below average coffee and slow service. Nice staff, but need some organising.

Absolutely fantastic coffee! far better than any other options including the big chains, and as someone who loves their coffee that's quite the compliment! Unfortunately drops a star in food as the namesake, toasties, are not anything to write home about - however having only tried a few take that with a pinch of salt. The service is fast and friendly and location is accessible in town with a quaint atmosphere - although the stairs to the restroom are incredibly steep if you happen to be someone with limited mobility. However in conclusion, well worth a visit, refreshing change from the chain stores!

Thoroughly nice place, staff very helpful and our food was excellent. Although this has only been open for a few months, it is a very welcoming place to eat and relax.
