The service and staff made this place. Friendly cosy feel. Locals welcoming. If I am honest food is ok, average to slightly better but it's the service that takes this pub to go from a 3 to a 4 star.

This is a lovely village pub with very friendly staff. The beer is well kept and always tastes good.

A nice barman. Pub galley style. Disappointing outside area, no garden.

We were welcomed by the very friendly waitress. This is not the sort of review I wanted to write but feel the owners should be aware. We ordered Sunday roast for the four of us. The waitress was doing the Bar and waiting the tables by herself. After 45 mins food arrived. Firstly none of us had a hot dinner it was Luke warm. When I enquired about the Yorkshire’s she said she had run out but replaced them with pigs in blankets ?. We had pre booked this meal so couldn’t understand why they run out of Yorkshire pudding. The description of the dinner said it came with a medley of vegetables. All we had was a few carrots, purple cabbage and a small piece of stuffing.(not very creative). Considering we paid £16.50 per meal it really was overpriced. We don’t mind what price we pay as long as we get a hot and tasty meal.Maybe other people, reading the reviews, would be happy but we weren’t and Sadly we would not return.

Superb Sunday Roast. Especially pork. And very friendly staff. Absolutely loved it.

What a joke, went for a family Sunday roast.. Well it was not worth any where near the £16.50 they charge..A medley of vegetables is listed on the menu,a spoonful of carrots & some raw red cabbage, which we heard the other tables moaning about.A cauliflower cheese I’d ordered as an extra got given as a complimentary dish to another table as they hadn’t ordered one.But when I asked were mine was they were just going to cook it.Actually wanted it with the roast..2 tiny slices of beef & an undercooked Yorkshire pudding. All in all shocking.. £8 for a glass of wine.. Honestly give this place a wide berth as the other tables in there were moaning about the same things & one table was trying to get the email of the owner to moan,at least she got my cauliflower cheese ?? Makes you want to cook at home when your being ripped of for bad food.. Bad service, terrible food & feel totally ripped off..
