Great service and carvery excellent but anyone with children or any adult who is claustrophobic or vulnerable WARNING as a child got stuck in the toilet and despite efforts by the staff they were unable to unlock the door. The child was very distressed behind the locked door and a helpful member of the public came forward and said he would push the door in. The parent asked the child to stand back away from the door and he used his shoulder to forcibly open the door!! ? Please do accompany your child at vulnerable adult to the toilets!! Hopefully poor kid isn’t traumatised for lfr!!

They gave reverted to paying at the bar before eating for breakfasts. This is much easier and means we don't have to wait for the bill at the

Great visit, quick and friendly service. Booked for 3pm, turned up 20mins early and got seated straight away. Please can you have more vegan options? No desserts on the menu, and limited mains.Vegetarian options: Good, but more vegan options needed.

Booked the Festive menu? Nothing festive about it, just a standard carvery, you can purchase pigs in blankets at extra cost...no Christmas crackers.. karaoke far to loud, couldn't hear the waiters... however, the food was well cooked and the service was great.

I have an allergy to rapeseed oil. Apparently everything except the meat was cooked in or prepared with rapeseed oil. What I think could be improved on is more non vegetarian puddings, vegetarian puddings are made with seed oils that I have a problem with and is harmful to everyone's gut. Because of how the seed oils are refined. They cause inflammation. Please research seed oils and make your own conclusions. My meal was made for me by the chef at Braintree carvery, steamed vegetables and roast beef, I was very satisfied by the effort made to accommodate my allergy.Dietary restrictions: I have an allergy to rapeseed oil and was able to eat a roast beef dinner with all the vegetables steamed. I had to use copious amounts of salt, real butter would have made up for the lack of gravy (gravy had a rapeseed base)

I liked the idea of the festive menu, but had to ask for it as our server wasn't aware that it was on offer ? The restaurant was not over busy, most of the vegetables were just warm really needed to a lot hot to enjoy them.

Went for our first all you can eat breakfast as have never had a poor roast dinner ever .This was probably one of the best brekkies. Loads of fresh hot food available and extremely well priced.

Food was very decent. The person taking our order was absolutely lovely. Not too sure about the person serving the meat, he could do with some customer service training?

Lovely place to eat, meat and potato’s can be a little hit and miss but when you’re paying the prices you can’t complain! V cheap for a full roast!Highly recommend you pre-book for after 4pm + Thurs-Sun as can get super busy

Service and food is great. However i was looking forward to finally getting lamb… only to be disappointed in how unseasoned it is. No flavour to the lamb too. Also why is sunday so expensive? Its the exact same meal you get on a week day. Sundays are a rip off. I get its roast day. But at least make it more special and bigger portions for the price.

Had a lovely breakfast here, staff were great in the kitchen going the extra mile to cook a family member’s eggs just the way they like them, we visited at quite a busy time and hadn’t booked, the staff quickly set up tables for us. Food was just right. Thank you Toby, will be re visiting very soon.
