Our favourite place for a meal out in Essex. Wedding anniversary earlier this week and again enjoyed the food and service. We both have allergies and the team really looked after us, clearly understanding allergy risk, which is comforting and much appreciated. Thanks again Masons and see you soon.

Great lunch experience. Dedicated vegan menu had many choices for three courses. Interior seating is spacious, comfortable and quiet. The service was first class (very attentive waiters) and the food good.Vegetarian options: Vegan menu available

It is always very nice to be greeted by staff who remember your name and the table that you have asked for because you sat there 2 weeks prior. Those little things mean a lot to many people. The staff as usual were very attentive and the food superb. It is the best restaurant in Brentwood.

My favourite restaurant has always been Smith's of Wapping, now I have two favourites!What an excellent restaurant. The service and staff was top notch, piano made it a relaxed atmosphere but grown up.As for the food, superb. Started with the pate, smooth and so much flavour. Next rib eye steak. I swear the chef read my mind and it could not have been more perfect. Soft, tender and so much flavour. Probably the best steak I have ever had and I have had some good steaks before.The desert was an apple Tarte tatan. This was delicious, perfect texture for the apple, rich smooth sauce and the ice cream was amazing.Overall this is a great place for a relaxed evening with friends. Food, music, service perfect.If you want a lively place don't go here, you'll be disappointed and have missed the point of what they are trying to do.The overall score is an absolute perfect 10 out of 10. We've eaten here many times since it opened. It's always been very good in the past, but today we were really disappointed. We were eating with friends. My risotto was pretty mediocre, but I didn't say anything because I didn't want to spoil the mood. It was only when we were chatting in the car park as we left that the other 3 all commented that their food was almost cold when it arrived. Pretty poor considering how much they charge. Do better, Mason's!
Golf Christmas dinner and it was excellent. Service great in every way. Professional friendly and attentive. Food wonderful. Atmosphere fabulous. Pianist playing in the background. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Visited Masons for New Years Day Dinner Was just amazing as always They were offering there Sunday menu this day which suited us fine! Roast Beef, Turkey, Liver and Bacon and Seabass - was all unbelievable food! And the blackcurrant sorbet for dessert is amazing. Great service from everyone there too, definitely worth a visit.

Like this restaurant so chose it for Christmas Day dinner. I thought the restaurant lacked atmosphere a little bit, service was good all v polite some more friendly than others. Meals came out quite quickly, helpings were large.and Turkey was cut quite thick, meals tasted as if they had been pre plated and warmed up. all very enable but at £110 per person just expected something a bit more special, probably wouldn’t return on Xmas day again

Have been to this restaurant many times and will continue to do so as the food is always delicious. Never had a bad meal. Which is why we are regular visitors. The menu is extensive, and there are always new things to try, which keeps it interesting. It has a great atmosphere, warm and relaxing. The staff are always excellent. Attentive friendly and helpful. Had Christmas dinner and it was really delicious as always and we were sat at our favourite table. Thank you. Booked a table for 8 of us for my mums 90th birthday lunch. The staff were wonderful and very attentive. Everyone loved the food which was truly delicious. Thank you everyone for making my mums day so special. A wonderful memory.Dietary restrictions: My mother in law if dairy intolerant and the staff were superb in making sure she was looked after - even providing her own side dish of vegetables.Parking: Ample safe parking on site
