We happened upon this restaurant by chance almost 2 years ago and it has become our favourite local restaurant. We often return with visiting family and friends!
The food is always wonderful and the kitchen is very accommodating. The bolognese, the arrabbiata and spinach ravioli are our favourites.
The staff is the lovely and the service is absolutely exemplary and we are welcomed back with so much warmth every time! Visi goes above and beyond to ensure everyone is satisfied.

We recently held my son’s 21st birthday party at Rumours, and it honestly couldn’t have been better. From start to finish, the staff were absolutely amazing, so attentive, friendly and genuinely couldn’t do enough for us.The dj nick kept the night going and he was absolutely brilliant!
The whole evening ran perfectly to plan which made everything feel relaxed and enjoyable and I didn’t stress once for a change !! . George had the best night and seeing how much he loved it made it even more special for all of us.
It truly was a night to remember and the celebration was everything we hoped for and more. A huge thank you to everyone at Rumours for making it so memorable .
we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it for any special occasion.! X

Visited last night to celebrate a birthday, we were a group of 12 and this was my first time dining here.
Initial thoughts were it was very nicely decorated and lovely and warm, tables and furniture are luxurious and tasteful, toilets are spotless.
Service was just right, the staff were there for you and very polite and professional.

But OMG the food is top level, tasty and literally from the pan to the plate within a short minute. No plate warmers and tea light candles required.
I have eaten at far too many Indian restaurants but this is now my very favourite.

Namal and the team run a tight ship, beautiful food, luxurious surroundings and decent prices.

I have always liked the Black Horse and have eaten several times here. But I’ve never felt they had reached their potential mainly due to the food which has been ok but nothing more.
Until last night. A new, inspiring menu, I settled on a signature skewer with feta salad. It was outstanding. Absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. Now this pub has the atmosphere, service, and excellent food!

We’ve always loved visiting Felix. Service is 5/5 always and the food is cooked to perfection and worth every penny.
We have to say we was surprised the menu had changed, not sure if it’s a good thing.
Where were the dumplings, squid in oyster sauce and original tempura starter! Gutted.
There has been some changes to the monkfish fish fish also..it’s no longer got an Asian twist on it with a refreshing mango salsa. Food was cooked lovely however we missed the OG dishes.

A fantastic variety of menu options available. We ordered across the board from paninis and pasta to sea bass and lamb chops. All the dishes hit their respective spots! Well flavoured and fresh and fair portions. No unnecessary garnish filling up your plate.

Polite and attentive staff who ensured service was top drawer.

We offered to leave a tip, but were told they didn't accept gratuity except for parties of 6 and over which was totally unexpected in this day and age.

Well worth a visit and you won't be disappointed

Had cod and chips delivered. Food was lovely and hot fish was fresh and the batter lovely and crispy and tasty and not too greasy. Chips were nice but the potato’s were a bit floury only
Reason not giving full 5 for the food but all in all a lovely meal would recommend. Proper fish and chips and defo Cod.Some places advertise Cod but are questionable this was a lovely bit of fish and we had three lots and everyone enjoyed their meal. Will definitely order again

Our first visit to this beautiful restaurant the decor is vibrant and welcoming and the atmosphere even though the restaurant wasn’t busy (Sunday lunch) was great the staff are amazing and very attentive and there’s no rush to get you in and out like a lot of restaurants we visit the food is absolutely amazing and was served straight from the grill we will definitely be returning.

We visited for a friends birthday lunch on a Sunday. We don't live local so it's been a few years since the last visit. Friendly and competent staff and excellent food and drink. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The Yorkshire pudding and roast potatoes were the best I have ever had in a restaurant. It got busier in the restaurant and car park as we left.

We visited on Saturday and it was buzzing, lovely ambience. The service was excellent we didn't wait long. Food was delicious! Flavoursome and great portion size, we got plenty of starters my fave drink has got to be the pineapple and coconut, the desert - halwa with ice cream was a lovely finish to the meal even after feeling stuffed, staff were very welcoming we even had one of the owners come up asking how everything was. Cannot fault this place would visit again!

We went for mid-week llunch a couple of weeks ago with friends. The car park was a reasonable sized pub car park although possibly overwhelmed in the Summer when the outside seating under an awning is being used. There is a fixed price 2 or 3 course lunch menu, although I had 2-starters from the a la carte as I can't manage a starter and main at lunchtime. The food was excellent. Not a budget option, but we'll worth a visit to make your own mind up.

The quality of food and drink was excellent and the staff were really friendly and professional.

My only criticism would be that in being sat at the table nearest the door we were often a little cold. The doors didn’t have an automatic close and when other diners came in and out they often left one of the doors open which left a very strong draft. (I got up and closed the door and on some occasions the staff did also, which was appreciated). I don’t have any solution for this and it wouldn’t stop me from visiting again, I’d just rather not sit on that table again.

We went to Mesken last night for my husband’s 70th Birthday celebration meal. It was wonderful. Food was amazing, staff were really good and very pleasant, atmosphere was excellent and Joanna the live singer after the meal was brilliant, a very talented lady. Prices were good value for the excellent quality of the food. We didn’t wait for a table but were a large group, so booked in advance. Thank you to everyone at the Mesken for making Terrys night very special. All our family and friends had an amazing time and really enjoyed their meal. We will be back soon!

Went here fir Sunday lunch. Our lunch arrived about 10mins of ordering. Which we thought was great. It looked great. However, the potato's were barely warm and soggy. The carrot and parsnip tasted nice but again luke warm. The beef was lovely. The Yorkshire pud was thick and doughy. The best bit was the cauliflower cheese we ordered as extra. That tasted lovely and was nice and hot. The staff were very good when you managed to catch them but very very busy. We eventually managed to order our deserts but then waited 35 mins for them to arrive after I had asked about them. I had ordered a mini pud with tea. My tea arrived straight way, but no pud, so no tea with my pud as I'd already had it. If you could just make the food hot, I would have been happy.
