Unfortunate Birthday at Nando's: Seeking a laid-back atmosphere for my New Year's Eve birthday while I was feeling unwell, Nando's seemed like the perfect choice—until our dinner plans turned into disappointment. The news of running out of whole chicken extended our wait to 30-40 minutes. Hoping to salvage the evening, we ordered chicken livers as a starter, priced at a hefty £9. To our surprise, it arrived as a small bowl with a single bread roll, and an extra roll set us back another quid! As a proud Portuguese, I can whip up a pot at a fraction of the cost. The seemingly dry reheated livers and stale extra roll only added insult to injury. To compound matters, our meal was slightly undercooked when it arrived, necessitating a return to the grill. By the time we finally sat down to eat at 9 pm, an hour later, the restaurant was closing, leaving us no choice but to take our meal away. The saving grace? The staff's friendliness. Nando's, charging a premium for mediocre dishes, won't cut it. What is happening to British hospitality? Portions and quality are decreasing, yet prices are rising!

We gave Nandos a shot, and it was decent. We went for lunch and the place was bustling with students. The service was excellent, and the food, while okay, had highlights like tasty chicken wings and a good burger. However, I wouldn't suggest the garlic bread; it was burnt and didn't have a pleasant taste. Food was decent. Drinks were totally forgotten about. Asked someone that worked there, she said she'd sort it. Watched her walk around for 10 minutes doing f all so went up to the counter myself to get the drinks. Why make people app order if I end up at the counter anyway?

I always like eating at this restaurant. Today, I ordered takeaway through Deliveroo from Nando’s and for some reason, the order got thoroughly mixed up.I cancelled that order and then rang up Nando’s to let them know about it and the man I spoke to was so decent and pleasant. He took my order over the phone (they don’t normally) and it was ready for me when I went to collect it. Super service, lovely staff and a credit to Nando’s!

I have been around at least a dozen of nandos, this one is definitely top 3 if not the best. Everything was fresh, and cooked at optimum duration. Service was fast even though place was packed.

The restaurant completely missed out my mum’s meal and when we rang we were sent round the houses for 20 minutes as they said they couldn’t authorise sending out a replacement themselves only to eventually be sent back to speak to the restaurant again. At no point did they offer any compensation, they just eventually sent out the order after all of the rest of us had finished. Very disappointing!
