Purchased tickets for the their hotel obsessed event 21:00-03:00 using the RA app, arrived at the event at 11:30pm to find the venue closed. 4 of us paid 11.50 each for a ticket, I dread to think how many others have bought and turned up to a closed venue. DISGUSTING MONEY LAUNDERING!!!!!!

On NYE my son was refused admission to this club, Daniel Helciug- Nicolaie said my son was a trouble maker and had been fighting the week before, my son has never been to this club before and for the record has never ever been in trouble. So I can only conclude as my son’s two white friends were allowed in that my son was racially profiled or is Daniel insinuating that all black men look a like???I have contacted Sugar Hut to raise a formal complaint but have been ignored. That’s fine as there are a lot more places to raise my complaint and social platforms to let people know of this disgusting treatment of my son.

Nice club and friendly staff, only it would be better if the girls wasn’t so snobby and the rooms were all actually open. Also £27 on TWO drinks (single spirit and a mixer) is unbelievable! Also like pablo Escobars house in the girls toilets?

Not the same as it was for sure. Went last Saturday and there were only 30 - 50 people in there at midnight. When there would be a queue as long as you can think of pre covid. Looks like covid has hit this place hard unfortunately

Not the same as it used to be. Had tickets for Halloween, said start time of 9pm. Arrived just before 10.30, upstairs wasn’t even open yet. Loads of seating removed, 2/3 of the outside area shut, even at 11 when the upstairs ‘opened’ it only included main dance floor and none of the other areas. Said it was a Halloween night so you’d expect to see costumes, but got told to remove our handmade half-face masks, and were quite rude and confrontational about it (suggested we were going to beat people up - 3 girls in their twenties keeping to themselves). When leaving asked what the problem was, explained the above and told ‘well the world is changing’ - don’t ask if you don’t want to hear it! Also was scanned on entrance, including my legs which were quite obviously just in thin tights you could see through… felt like I was a criminal! Toilets however have had an upgrade and the attendant there was lovely.

I came to the sugarhut restaurant yesterday with my older sister & my son, my sister is not from Brentwood so thought I’d bring her to sugarhut as she’d heard about it.We ordered food and drinks and thought all was fine as we wasn’t advised any different. Our drinks were brought out, but half hour went by and no food, we had no updates whatsoever, so when it got to 50 mins and we still had no food I decided to find out what was going on.The man checked the kitchen and told us 10 mins. So an hour for food? And we wasn’t advised this would be the wait for food.60mins and STILL no food, my one year old will not stop crying due to being hungry, I go in again, as no one once again has bothered to update us, to be told another 10mins, when I asked what was taking so long only then did we get told there was only one chef and one fryer. Why the hell was we not advised of this and why was we not kept updated?!Top top it off we asked to just be refunded and got told we could be refunded £5 each. What the hell is that about? So we waited again since we want going to get our money back and it came, we waited an hour and 15mins for some food. No compensation, not even complimentary drinks for the wait, nothing. We ate and left. I would like someone to get in touch with me regarding this as there is not an email address on their contact pageOh and to top it off the half rack of ribs where inedible

Although the food was delicious they were so slow in getting it to us - nearly an hour for the main course to come and then at least 30 mins for vanilla ice-cream. Waiting staff were friendly and did their best but obviously not enough staff in the kitchen - it wasn’t even busy so I’d hate to know how long I’d wait for food if it was full!!!

We visited the sugar hut this afternoon for afternoon tea to celebrate my goddaughter’s 16th birthday. Food was lovely but very disappointed we were not allowed to take any left over food home. Such a waste of food as we had sandwiches, quiche, cakes, scones and macaroons left I imagine this would all be thrown in the bin such a waste. Would not recommend to anyone such a shame

Wow! I chose this place to for my sisters hen party! Everyone had an amazing time. We did cocktail making with a young man Cameron he was just amazing! He started the perfect night off with a bang. Then onto the night club which we had 2x VIP tables and had a hostess called Lauren she again couldn't do enough for us. Another host James made sure everydrink that we spilt after 2x magnums of vodka was cleaned up straight away. We had the best night!! Thankyou to all that welcomed us!! Will definitely be going back again!! Highly recommended!!Like
