It's ok, food was a bit cold but it is what it is. Not fine dining but staff are lovely and some have been there for years so must be good place to workParking: Good amount of parking

Unfortunately, the breakfast wasn't nice, and it was overpriced, paid £50 + for 5 breakfasts ( 3 adults, 2 kids). Sorry! I would not recommend it for breakfast ! Sausages were burnt, the overall quality of the food wasn't there, and there wasn't much choice. Coffees weren't nice either ?

I love your breakfast! Always when I want to treat myself with a breakfast I am going to eat there! For me as a “traditional English breakfast “ person the sausages are very important, I am glad to see that you use a good sausage and not them sausage full with fat and oil! Plus you have Pepsi Max on pump wich one is my fav ever as well!! All in one I am always recommended your place to all my friends!

Cannot fault the food as always fantastic. Unfortunately the tables and chairs were filthy. Food stuck on chairs we had to pick off and wipe before we sat down. Tables were sticky and had food debris on them that we also had to clean. Disappointed in the cleanliness but we all were very satisfied with the quality of food.Parking: Plenty of parking spaces but seems like the pot holes are increasing and could do with being filled in please.

Been coming here for 40+ years. Still has great atmosphere. Very friendly. Thanks guys . Full service even on New Year's Eve. Managed a power cut extremely well. Don't think it happens muchVegetarian options: Would like veg options not to be all pastry. No root veg. One of party could not have much of the veg. All that was available to rest of use A1. Plenty of parking.

We went Xmas day for our Xmas lunch that we had pre booked and pre ordered. The quality of the food was terrible, Im a vegetarian but I overheard several people complaining that the meats were horrible and I can confirm that the lamb and beef especially looked vile, cremated and inedible. The mash potato was laughable, it was loose, sloppy and just tasted like water with a horrible consistency. Yorkshire puddings were not Toby standard and we're noticeably smaller and flat! Given the money we had spent for our Xmas meal approx £150 for two adults and one child I was really not happy! We were seated at a tiny round table for two with 3 of us literally in the middle of a walkway, extremely uncomfortabe. We rushed to eat so we could leave. I should of known better and not booked as I've noticed a massive decline in quality from this Toby over the last year! But I thought being Xmas they would sort themselves out but no! The majority of the front of house team and waitress staff are nice and friendly however the carvery servers are not pleasant. One small older man server is extremely sarcastic and a bit of a misog, the other younger slim taller guy just looks like he's lost the will to live and constantly has a face like thunder every time I've been there. Extremely disappointed with their Xmas and the quality over the last year and won't be booking again! If your looking for a decent Toby in Essex go to Southend!

The Christmas Day environment was amazing and staff faultless.I feel that the vegetarian options could’ve been better. There wasn’t a lot of green veg or veg options in general that wasn’t covered in cheese. The puddings and starters were beautiful.Vegetarian options: Poor quality. Not enough green veg.

As a group of 12 we all enjoyed a Xmas lunch, with pleasant surroundings and comfortable seating. It did feel a bit of a production line though, although the food was well cooked and presented, my only observation is the restaurant/toilets are all very well used, and are showing signs of this everywhere, could do with a refresh/lick of paint to bring the place back up to a nice place to be.

Went for breakfast with santa. Was brilliant value of money, santa and the elf was fantasticly in character. Present had my sons name on which he couldn't believe santa knew his name. 100% recommend to anyone. Throughly enjoyed.

We came into Toby for breakfast with my partner and we found hair in our food. We told one of the ladies who appeared rude and just seemed like she didn’t wanted to be there even though I said excuse me nicely. It put me off the food and we couldn’t finish after.
