Portion sizes were dreadful, hardly any meat in two different main course dishes, one was a piece of pork less than 5mm thick and about 4-5 cm wide, however there were loads of potatoes, on one dish we counted 11.. The initial manager's attitude was "that is what it is", The second manager stepped in and arranged for a bit more meat on one dish. Do they think we won't notice a pile of potatoes and no meat?

Today I had lunch for the third time at this restaurant in Brentwood. Once again the food was not good. Cooking chicken and food in old oil is their r speciality. Last time I could not touch my chicken in breadcrumbs as I could taste the old oil which had given the food bad taste and this time again I could not eat my started (chicken and also mushrooms on some sort of bread) and pizza was slimy and not nice. In fact I will never ever go to Zizzi again as I have tried their several dishes and all cooked badly. The food is horrible and and actually thought of who the chef was. We go to restaurants to eat good quality food and not being serve with something that I won’t even feed my dogs. The chef should be sacked and apparently most Zizzi restaurants are the same.

Often browsed the menu but hadn't sampled the food until 23rd Nov. Quite a few empty tables so was a bit pensive, how wrong was I! Amazing food, good portion size, plenty to chose from but not overwhelmingly so. Will certainly visit again 5 star food an service and not expensive either. ?

The waitress Phoebe was the best felt so comfortable with her best service I’ve ever had lovley girl, starters were amazing so we’re the pizzas,However couldn’t eat them both and the dessert eye were bigger than my belly. Just want to big up Phoebe never felt So comfortable with a waitress ever beautiful lady and excellent service and recommend me the best substitute for chillis on my pizza will definitely be coming back because of her service x

It was a real shame that my Son’s birthday meal was ruined to a degree. I ordered a Calzone pizza and when I started to eat the filling, the chicken was stone cold. The waitress promptly got a 2nd Calzone prepared and low and behold, the chicken inside this was also stone cold. I was given an excuse that the chef tried to prepare it quickly for me and it failed. My family had all finished their main course so I just ordered a plain pepperoni pizza as what could go wrong with this and by now I was starving. This was delivered very quickly and was piping hot as expected.It was a shame and it’s doubtful I would ever eat there again after tonights event. I would’ve expected the restaurant to perform far better especially in todays economic climate and seeing Prezzo’s go from the high street…

We’ve visited Zizzi’s on a regular basis over the years, and always friendly, but on the last few occasions have seen a noticeable decline in quality. Anything from slow service, getting orders incorrect, and food turning up on the plate which is not as described on the menu. We don’t expect gourmet here, but we do expect a business get the basics right.

Excellent food, served nice and hot , salad was full of lots of toppings, well presented and very tasty. Staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Clean and tidy restaurant area AND they had a disabled toilets which was an added bonus . Definitely recommend
