No chicken at all what!!! And no change in the till what so ever. Couldn't care or go and get change. Just said right card only know no change unless got exactly the right money. Poor lady in front of us thats all she had. Very bad staff don't want to be there disgusting.

Food I can’t review as I never got that far.1pm on a Thursday must be a busy time, although with only one car in front of me in the drive-through, I expected a prompt service.Unfortunately, the tannoy wasn’t answered, so I then proceeded to the service hatch where I was greeted with another potential 10 minute waiting time.Obviously, I gave up at this point .My suggestion, here is closed the drive-through because you simply can’t do it correctly .Or employ staff that can do the job….

Fabulous food served by Callum. Great menu and great ambiance. Have visited 3 times in the week while on holiday
Had a lovely evening, our server Sam was friendly and very helpful, she made our evening wonderful. Food was quick and hot. Good sized plates of food which tasted good. We had steaks, veg chilli, mixed grill and gammon meals with cheese cake and choc sundaes. Would recommend a visit.

tomersAdvertised £2.25 , 2 corses main & starter or Main & pudding. Enquired could x 2 people have soup as the main, as there was NO fish available today - 18 /09 /23 !! then a pudding to follow. No problem we are told, when paying the bill it was £26.00 +. Not happy we spoke to the waitress and the manager, we were told the menu states a main and starter or a main and pudding. It could not be adjusted as it was out of there control , however this was not discusted when we asked at ordering. I woud hope other customers suffer as we have, I also would like an explaination from the owners Marsdon.

My husband had mixed grill the steak should have been medium rare, it was ‘blue’ he complained the waitress gave him a dish ‘put it on there!’ She then returned the piece of steak which looked like it had been in the deep fat fryer. He did not eat it. He complained again whilst paying the bill- no sorry- nothing. Such bad customer service.

We wanted to visit Clacton and area so booked a couple of nights in the adjacent hotel. Firstly the hotel; the greeting from Susan in reception was genuine and she made us feel very welcome. The room was clean, well equipped with TV, adequate tea and coffee etc , (Susan said just to ask if we needed more) very comfortable bed, good lighting and great shower and bathroom. Plenty of soft big towels. The excellent air conditioning was welcome as outside temperatures were in high 20's. Adequate parking as well. We were both very satisfied with everything there. As guests we were offered a discount on main meals in the adjacent restaurant. We had two breakfasts and two evening meals in the restaurant. Again all the staff were very friendly and seemed to enjoy working there. All meals were enjoyable and absolutely no complaint. Rachel was welcoming as was Maisie the second evening. Breakfast was very good and it was good to have fruit juices and coffee etc as required. We were very glad to have booked here and can totally recommend..
