Such a friendly pub run by friendly people! We were stranded in brightlingsea on a Monday as everywhere was shut and we couldn’t find anywhere for food. The lovely owners invited us in and let us bring food from the chip shop to eat in the pub. They also took care of our dogs and bought over a dog bowl. Very friendly and cheap to buy drinks ! 100% come here for great service and a nice atmosphere - locals are also extremely friendly

The rooms were pretty standard, clean could do with new carpets but for a one night stay pretty comfortable. The pub had a drum and bass night on for Halloween took me back to my 20s ? quiet enjoyed the atmosphere and the locals were pretty welcoming.
