We ordered takeaway, and were extremely disappointed with size of the portions. My tikka prawns, had make 5 prawns in for £12.95 or so! Won’t be ordering more for sure, well overpriced!

I don't understand why this Indian restaurant hasn't had higher stars, the moment we walked in they were very pleasant, place has a lovely feel to it and the food was delicious.

Order take away on Sunday evening via just eat we use curry cottage all the time food is ok. So we was tucking into our food and the wife said look at this a long hair now yes it can happen I get this so she removed it but two mouthfuls later another hair now this is disgusting on all levels called them wanting our money back told to go to just eat so I did they Informed me that I had to call the restaurant again she phoned only for them to put this on just eat and they wouldn’t return my money only wanted her food refunded as mine was ok, so I decided to leave it but we will never use this disgusting restaurant again I will be informing health and hygiene with photo evidence

A lovely little restaurant and reasonably priced. I chose Ceylon prawns thinking it would be mild in a lemon and coconut sauce ( it was really quite spicy). Note to self.......check with the staff, I am sure they will help, they are so friendly.

I've had two takeaways this week from Curry Cottage and the food was very good but both times I've been left with the feeling of nice friendly service, but afterwards I've felt swindled. On Saturday (01/07/23) I ordered a tandoori mixed grill to take away and asked for an extra little bag of salad and an extra mint yoghurt. I remarked how important I thought these items are to the meal and said I don't mind paying a bit extra. The price on the menu for the TMG is £10.50. When I went to collect I was told £13.95 and I objected, saying I can't afford £3.45 for a lettuce leaf and a small pot of yogurt. So the man gave me the basic meal and I paid £10.50, and I was pleased that I'd challenged him and avoided being taken for a fool. Two days later I ordered the same meal, £10.50. when I collected I paid contactless with my phone and afterwards noticed I'd been charged £10.95.I'm not fussed over a couple of quid either way and I always like to give 5 stars but after two visits Curry Cottage left me feeling that, although the food is excellent, the business is run with a pickpocket mentality.Check your bill carefully, if I were you.

Very poor, we have been dining at the Curry Cottage for a very long time, the standard of the food is not at all what it used to be, most of the main courses taste the same, a slight variance in the heat the only difference, staff are not welcoming and appear surly. Ladies toilets need an overhaul, not the most hygienic. I have met a few regulars recently who have been taking there business elsewhere, a shame when it was a very good restaurant in the past.

Favourite of mine always an excellent standard and a good choice on menu. New dishes added regularly you won't be disappointed. Updated still as good as always never been disappointed here.

Hands down best Indian food I’ve ever had, absolutely perfect and fast service.Every dish was delicious and hot, I was surprised with how fast the food was made. All the staff are very nice and kind people, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to this restaurant and will be visiting again when I’m next in this part of the UK

Ordered starters and waited nearly an hour (there was only a small group of us), one of our group complained and the starters appeared after 50 minutes of waiting. Food was ok but not fantastic. Starter plates were eventually removed and we waited nearly another hour for mains and took for us to complain again for those to come out. The waiters were rude and argued back at us and said ‘what do you expect we are busy’, another sat at the bar just laughing at us whilst plates were literally being shoved on to our table, one plate was placed on top of one my friends drink and left to balance there. Most of our food was cold. Rice turned up on cold plates and the waiter called me a liar when I explained my food was cold. Absolutely dreadful place but I was warned by many not to go there but I had already made the booking. Bill was also grossly inflated but they were rude when we tried to query it, check your bills closely!! PLEASE AVOID and go elsewhere. Let’s hope this place gets shutdown

Just wish the food was as good as the atmosphere. This was the first meal we have had and we had the chicken tikka masala. The look and taste was very much like tomato soup, not enough spices added. Naan bread was good though thankfully. Won’t be returning.
