Don't even think it deserves one star maybe for the chef and the lady behind the bar. They say it’s Dog friendly but my little dog wasn’t even aloud on my lap or my coat, I was more worried about her catching something off of their dirty furniture than mine causing them any problems, the lady who bought the food to the table was very arrogant and rude and just said Dog on the floor without even a please even tho i was trying to put her down and felt very uncomfortable, wish I had pushed the food off the table and said clear that mess up and walked out. Food was just about edible, wine was like vinegar, service terrible and certainly won’t be going back and will be telling my friends to avoid. So many nicer pubs in Burnham and surrounding area’s which do welcome dogs without you feeling awkward.Avoid the STAR, Burnham.

Great little pub and dog friendly. Friendly service with a good family atmosphere. Food was all good and get what you pay for. Ploughman's was tasty.

Had fish and chips, must have been the cheapest frozen fish from a packet they could find, fish was tasteless and was a strange grey colour. Its a good pub but i think they should just remove fish and chips from menu if thats what its going to be like.
Bar staff seemed to make up cost of drinks, but were friendly and there was a good atmosphere

Looking for somewhere to eat in Burnham and were tempted by the salads. Nice courtyard to sit in, plenty of shade on a hot and sunny day. Was quite busy. Many prohibitive signs like no bikes on the deck, children not allowed here, toilets only for use of customers, so overall impression was not of a friendly welcome. I enjoyed the smoked mackerel with chef's salad but will say that the salad was just a collection of salad leaves, tomato and cucumber slices - no tasty dressing.

Had fish and chips at £10.50p each and this was the worst meal I have ever had in a pub, frozen fish in batter which was grey, frozen chips the peas were obviously frozen but were like bullets, keep away and go somewhere else. Utterly disgusting ?
