The food was great, the service was great, cannot fault anything about the visit until…..after we’d eaten one of our party had to take another home so we had to wait in the bar area for our friend to return. We had been eating and drinking at our table the whole night but were told no children can be in the bar area. No one else was there but apparently we couldn’t wait for ten minutes in that section. Yes, they actually told us we had to wait outside for our friend to return to collect us in the freezing cold. Would’ve come here again but unfortunately treated very badly, regretted not just staying at the table until we could leave. Three children in the cold was not good, especially the amount we spent ruined a birthday night out.

We had our Christmas meal here like we have for many years, this will be our last year. The service was ok, the delay between arriving - starters - mains - deserts was unacceptable, quite a lot of us had uncooked food which we informed staff but nothing happened. The drink prices i questioned due to now expensive they were, then we got with a service charge which was added. Looking back we should have had it taken off there and then. We made a complaint and dint get anywhere. There was 9 of us so that's 9 lots of customers Miller and Carters have lost. People work hard for everything they have and many people cant afford to eat out, so i believe company's should be trying to hold on to their customers.

my friend and I had a lovely meal with the “rare treat deal” going on for January. Our Waitress Fae was so kind and attentive and looked after us for the entirety of the meal.We will 100% be returning for more of the brilliant value deals during the week!

Offered samples of wines to try so we could buy the correct one too and also finished with a lovely birthday message for my girlfriend. Amazing

I took my mum on a Saturday at 12 pm, the restaurant was absolutely freezing. When mentioned to the waitress, who was lovely, she said it had just been turned on. It spoilt our lunch as my mum just couldn't get warm, and it made the food go cold quicker. Such a shame as we've been before in summer and had a lovely experience. We won't go back again in winter.

Busy time as just after Christmas. Looked beautiful inside. The staff are very over worked so seemed tired and seemed to be running around alot so we didn't have a great service. There was 18 of us so a large table but our waitress and lots of other tables to tend to. So this would be much better if they have more staff especially as it is a expensive restaurant.Vegetarian options: I had the vegetarian burger. It was tasty and the chips where delicious.
We came down for a family dinner the other day. Jaimi our server was lovely, very friendly and polite. We will definitely be coming back again soon.

My partner and I love this place, we had a new waiter tonight called rowan, he was a very polite young man and was very attentive to us all night, he was knowledgeable on the menu and gave us some great new dishes to try. I would highly recommend this place for a date night out. 10/10

Nice greeting but all went downhill from there. The table wasn’t clean. The sever just plonked the bottle of wine down on the table and walked off. Of course I can pour my own wine but I shouldn’t have to. The starters came but without cutlery and I had to get up to find someone. The vegetables were hard and tasteless. Oh dear…. I could go on but what’s the point. Luckily the wine was good!

The standard of the food in my opinion has gone downhill. I have been a fan of Miller and Carter for 10 years + so definitely have my favourite dishes on the menu. The nachos for instance have changed ingredients and I feel the previous 'chips' to be better.We had the chateaubriand which was warm and under seasoned, and more rare than medium. The sides were also warm, not hot. The dessert was amazing, we tried something new instead of picking our favourite sticky toffee pudding. The cookie cup was a generous portion with quality ingredients.
