So, the food here is very good, far better than any other buffet, however as this is a buffet where you have to order to receive it fresh, you need to order it with the waiter or waitress, they are exceedingly brilliant as avoiding eye contact with anyone thus preventing you from being able to order all their wonderful food. My advice is to order 2 or 3 dishes then when they bring it over order another one immediately, if going in a big group beware because they will claim that you have underpaid when you haven't, my advice is don't be the last one to pay. I'm still going to give this restaurant 4 stars despite this because the food is that great..... When you can get it.

Not good at all, Hors Derves were ok but mains were cold and tasted plastic and like dish soap, came out cold, got told it wasn’t possible for it all to be cold, I’ve had Chinese delivery arrive hotter!! Staff were rude and rushed! Spoke to a man that I think was the manager, asked to reduce the bill as it was cold, got told we should have asked for it to be re cooked! Said he couldn’t reduce the bill so asked him to take the service charge off but he refused then started shouting at us (couldn’t understand him as he had a mask on) offered to pay for drinks and he shouted dont bother! Very rude and aggressive towards two women! Was very embarrassing as we were trying to be nice but they were rude, food was disgusting, place has no atmosphere as well! Won’t ever be going back!

Great restaurant, unfortunately haven't managed to go inside to eat for 7 years now, however have regularly been getting Takeaways.Meals are great, although prices have gone up a fair amount recently.

£23 per person plus you MUST order a drink and then youre allowed tap water. On top of that, they put on a 10% service charge. Partner and I had an upset stomach the next day. Food was far too salty. Waiters were rude. £23 for any children aged 10 and over. Won't be returning

Went with a big party, understandably a bit difficult to manage with loads of food orders at once. But, took about an hour for 2 trays of starters to come out. some of the food was ok, some of it not so much. dumplings tasted like oil etc they were slow in taking orders so we would sit for long periods without any food to eat. forcing us to drink their incredibly over prices drinks (which you have to have one with your meal or they'll not serve you) Waitress was rude like really rude. food was bland and it was all overpriced. never going again and hope this puts off at least big parties of people going, as they clearly can't handle large groups

Excellent food, friendly staff. We had a very large group and they served us very efficiently. I had to change the booking a little and the manager was extremely helpful.

Our fave chinese restaurant. Staff are attentive and helpful. The food is delicious and served hot. The chicken dumplings are delicious but the sizzle plate squid was abit bland. We will 100% be back though

It was our first visit to San which offers an "All You Can Eat" service. With such an offer in place we had expected the food to be laid out in a Buffet style presentation. It was not to be, once seated and the menu contemplated, a waiter visits the table to make note of the selections made.Once the order was taken our choices were relayed to the kitchen where it was freshly cooked before being brought to table. Being our first visit we were unaware of how big the portion sizes would be. We had expected them to be relatively small, allowing for multiple buffet style choices to be enjoyed, they were not. Each portion was of the size we have come to expect in Chinese restaurants, they were quite large. Potential visitors to Sans should note this and order accordingly. The restaurant has a printed warning - it does not like, approve of, or welcome those who over - order and end up leaving unwanted food on their plates. The chef apparently been known for being upset with some who have effectively wasted their cooking. It is far better to order food which is initially feared might not prove adequate unto the need, additional portions are readily forthcoming from the kitchen if required. The food we ordered was freshly cooked and very tasty. Our visit to Sans was nothing but a pleasurable experience, we certainly did not depart from it feeling hungry or dissatisfied. There is no doubt we will return to the restaurant in days to come and would have no trouble in telling friends of our experience gained from our visit there. Why only "Four Stars"? Nothing is perfect.

I love Chinese Food! Me and my partner have visited San on multiple occasions now and each time we leave a little less impressed. Most recent visit being January 22. The prices have gone up! Which doesn’t bother me so much if the money was worth it! I enjoy the luxury of a buffet but table service. Makes an all you can eat less casual. However! With it being all you can eat this is what I’d expect!! We ordered a few starters, then a few main dishes. We’d decided what we wanted and were going to split it across 2 orders as to spread the night out and not rush. However the waitress just cleared the table and assumed we’d finished. When looking at the menu again she wasn’t happy when we said we wanted more and sent another waitress over to take our order immediately and quite rudely. Had we been told on arrival or when booking there was a time limit on the table I’d understand, however we’d only been sat down just over and hour and were sat with out empty plates on the table for a significant time before being cleared (this doesn’t bother me but if being rushed for time then I’d like to be given as much opportunity as possible). We were going to order more drinks but were put off as felt rushed. The table we were sat at was thrown in the corner next to the plate warmer so constantly had people standing by our side and next to us which wasn’t to great. Overall paid £60 for 2 dinners, and a few soft drinks. Had the service of been good the 10% service charge wouldn’t bother me. Good service deserves a tip, this however did NOT.

Rude!! Waitress who was also the owner kept restricting what we ordered, some dishes never came. We were responsible adults and didn’t waste food. Waitress had firm tone not friendly. previously we enjoyed the food hence went back again but this time we were made to feel unwelcome. When ordered again food was salty. We spent nearly £200 and won’t be returning again. Unhappy customers!!! ????????????
