The food is really good but the portions get worse and worse every time.Seriously just spent £65 odd and you have to skimp on the rice? Sort it out

We purchased a take away our first time with sugar palm and it will be the last!!. We ordered the set meal B and additional dish. It arrived warm the noodles were rubbery like they had been re heated, there was hardly any chicken in my dish it looked like it was frozen chicken. The other dishes were greasy we threw it out but concerned now we are going to have food poisoning! At 25 pound ahead it was disgusting worst take away we have ever had.

First time I have used Sugar Palm but definitely not the last. Fastest delivery ever, really delicious Green Thai, well presented and no leaks from tubs. Will definitely use again.

The owners great, really trying to make a success of it. He's also a highly trained chef. Food tastes great and is presented well. They use good ingredients. When I think of Thai food in chelmsford I think sugar palm ?

Excellent Thai food and service even for take away. Been there for a weekend dinner before the covid lockdown too. Nice atmosphere and ambience. Lovely surroundings n friendly staff. This is a lovely setting in pretty quiet area of Chelmsford, with plenty of parking near by. Highly recommended.

Really nice food was hot and spicy. One of the best green curry I had. Delivery was on time and decent. Definitely order from here.

This was the sweetest pad Thai I’ve ever had - I feel like they just chucked a lot of sugar in some noodles with a bit of soy. Very little vegetables either - super sad takeaway.

Excellent quality Thai food from this new place on the block. The service was exceptional and the staff genuinely cared about how the food was received. Didn't try the separate karaoke bar, but the food I'd be back for in a heartbeat. Very impressed!

The entrance seems a little shady, but don't worry. The staff are friendly and the food is really good. Their food seems quite authentic in how spicy it is and it definitely shows in the flavour too! We went for lunch on a saturday and it was just us and we ordered:Tom yam soup which was tangy and spicy, just the way it should be and delicious.Chicken satay with authentic real nutty peanut sauce.Phad thai which was great too, a little spicier than I had imagined, but all were great choices. We'll be coming back again, thank you!

Friends 50th45 of us went for a friends 50th. It was clear they'd bitten off more than they could chew (unlike myself who is still hungry despite paying £25 for a set menu) we all waited ages for any food to arrive, when it did it was cold and very dry duck pancakes. About 45 mins later the next course arrived, equally inedible and so it continued. This may help illustrate how terrible it was, when jars of water were eventually bought out everyone cheered! We had a vegan and gluten intolerant friend on our table who was served meat and rolls made with regular pastry. When she complained a very lame looking carrot salad arrived.Steer clear from Sugarpalm unless you want to leave hungrier than when you arrived and lighter in the wallet

Just Don't! - meant to able to cope with groups but even though we had pre-ordered set menu sat down at 19.30, main served after 22.00. Veggie spring-rolls came on same plate as spare ribs, three individual mains (no veggie) and two sides (cold rice and solid noodles) between groups of five. No dessert, no coffee.
