Visited on Sunday. Some of our group had the carvery which looked good. One side order of skin-on chips to share with veggie options were luke warm. Nice helpful staff though.

Pleasantly greated, and shown to our pre-booked table.Waitress efficient, and food was pretty rapid coming to the table...that's when it goes a little downhill.I ordered breaded mushrooms for starters, and whilst I'd expect them to be a golden brown, these were almost oak coloured. They were overdone, and hard. I had problems stabbing them with the fork, as unless I held firmly on the plate, they're shoot off. My son had breadcrumbed brie wedges, exactly the same, overcooked and hard.Main courses came out, two of us ordered burgers, classic burger was overcooked, very dry, and with no burger sauce as advertised, meaning the whole thing was rather dry, price of over £10 was a rip-off for this meal! ..Same problem with my burger, both burgers within the bun were overcooked, again, no burger sauce! Very dry and uninspiring, nearly £12 for this! Very disappointed!Luckily the third person (who's birthday we were celebrating) had chicken tikka, and had no complaints.Overall, disappointed with what food we received for the price we paid. Will be looking to dine out elsewhere next time

Had Sunday lunch yesterday the carvery was excellent plenty of meat which was so tender and plentiful of fresh vegetables and roast potatoes to die for. My wife and myself have dined many many times and up to now have never had a bad meal. We find the staff are very friendly as well. And great price.

We joined our son, daughter in law and grandchildren for a early breakfast. The cooked food was very good.Thebacon was very good and my husband said his black pudding was great.Nice crunchy hash browns, other places seem to make them soggy. The sausages were good qualty and good to see you can have poached eggs if desired.A really good choice of pastries. Was good to see bagels and crumpets on offer. I was impressed to see malted bread also. A good selection of things to have on toast and my hubby loved the pancakes with maple syrup which he had bacon with. The cold drink selection was good and included cranberry. Cereals were varied and plentiful. I particularly enjoyed the fresh fruit and the choice of natural yoghurt. Having the options of different coffee is excellent as I enjoy a flat white. Nice and clean restaurant. Thank you, we will be back soon.

We had booked breakfast through the hotel and didn't realise you still have to book yr table for breakfast. Being fathers day it was crazy. They seemed understaffed and frantic the queues were long. The food was still good. The following day was quieter and a lot more calmer but still seemed understaffed.Well done guys in a bad situation

No one to greet guests even though 3 people were behind bar ound table and was taking menus when some one actually said it was table service and they wanted to check that the table we had chosen was available. They said the restaurant was busy if you think that it's busy when a out 6vtables were occupied and in the time we were there about 3 other groups arrived. We ordered ba our food which came very quickly the food was well cooked and presented but the smothered platter was not to spec no bbq sauce. The waitresses took 20 kins to do a check back to see if eve thing was alright as we had kalmost consumed our food it was a good job it was nice.

We came here for my birthday yesterday and left really disappointed. Our starters came out before our drinks even though we ordered a tap water and two soft drinks so reasonably fast drinks to make and the restaurant was not busy whatsoever. We ordered the loaded vegan nachos which did not come loaded and we were told the waitress didn't know we wanted the loaded ones even though plain nachos weren't on the menu and it was specifically pointed to and read out. The cauliflower bites tasted like nothing but oil and were really greasy. My main was the smothered no chicken and it came without bbq sauce (the point of it was it was smothered in bbq sauce), the bacon arrived separately on a massive plate and the vegan chicken itself was tough and dry, I had problems cutting through it and chewing it. My mums vegan burger was also tough and dry. The roll was stale, the top was inedible, she could not finish her meal. Really disappointed because we've never had an issue with the food here before so we thought it would be a pretty safe option for a birthday meal, especially when they state on the menu which vegan brands they use and they're the same ones we use at home which we thought were pretty hard to mess up. We also had a senior member of staff cut in front of one of us while we were trying to be seated without an apology for doing so, we understand staff have places to be but it showed a lack of care and respect from the start. We also heard a member of staff saying "make sure you tell people we have no haddock, it's sods law someone will want it" as if it is the customers fault for ordering something off the menu. The one positive was that the man they were training was very respectful and polite and deserves to be recognised as such

We often pop in to Table Table on the Bowling Green for a quick and inexpensive lunch. The ambience of the restaurant is tired and badly in need of some restorative work both internally and externally. The food is passable, although today I had a mixed grill which included a small steak, which unfortunately was still bleeding and very tough and was half gristle. The helpings seemed to have shrunk quite markedly in recent months despite the prices increasing slightly. Not what I would consider value for money.

Service was terrible we waited for ages to be served and when we were finally served we waited ages for the food to come out. When it finally came out the steak was missing from the smothered platter. The rice that accompanied the curry was freezing cold. Tables were filthy and the toilets were absolutely disgusting. It's a shame because we've been to a different table table before and it was lovely. Such a disappointment, complete let down. 0/10

Again hard working staff in a pub that need’s total decoration, very helpful and professional staff and very accessible. The menu is very good and food is served piping hot, the breakfast is buffet and topped up regularly but again the inside lets the staff down, the entrance is next to the smoking area so you get a lung full of smoke as you make your way in for breakfast or dinner not the best place and needs to be moved.

Really nice atmosphere. Staff very friendly and helpful and coped very well with a large group. It would have been 5 stars if portions were a bit bigger.

Booked a table after reading reviews and seemed great but from the moment we sat down the wait on anything was unreal, the speed of drinks turning up, starters & mains was unacceptable and when the mains finally showed up most where cold in places, onion rings where soo greasy and finally when the bill came out it was wrong but as we was soo disappointed with it we just paid and left definitely will not be returning totally had all the fun sponged out of our evening and really put a downer on our moods

The staff are all good especially Ashley and Monica. The Sunday lunch is always plentiful and hot. Will definitely be going back.
