After discovering this place, it's not the easiest to find being hidden behind an arcade and bowling alley, we immediately loved the décor and general ambience. We stopped for cake and cocktails, both of which were excellent, especially the latter with my strawberry daiquiri being particularly good. The food is pretty average, nothing special , we remember when this place opened and the food was better quality, must of had better chef and more attentive staff- the reason for this review was the poor sized child’s meal- we questioned this to be told that’s how it comes- when it fact that was incorrect- when our server returned and apologised and said you had half of a hotdog, it was addressed fairly quickly- just a note to the manager, never assume that’s how it comes-...read full review
One of the best kept secrets in Clacton. A very pleasant evening ten pin bowling and then eating in the restaurant. Family members food was clearly excellent. Mine could have been a little better but I was more disappointed that I had not discovered Armstrong's long ago.
