Updated after 2nd visit: Went back for my birthday and wasn't as good this time. Staff weren't as welcoming and food wasn't nearly as good as the first time (different chef maybe?) . Shame, because Clacton is really rubbish for restaurants and I thought we found 'our place'. The search continues......... Atentative staff were very helpful and pitvup some balloons and banners for a family occasion. Good food but not fine dining, reasonably priced. Expect £50 for three courses with a drink

Wow, just had the most amazing Sunday roast at Maffias brasserie in Holland on sea.We both had the Platter of roast meat, Pork, Beef and Turkey and it was huge, so glad we didn’t have a starter. The meal came complete with vegetables and for £15.95 it was good value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful. We will be making this our regular booking.
