This is a delightful place and I loved the Easter cake. It's a bit pricey but very nice service and lovely room. The sunny day was also a joy.

Went in winter time, cosy place. Good menu. I had a salad which was huge and delicious. Partner had a cheese sandwich which was standard. Owner has 2 friendly dogs which are in the place. Well priced. Would go again.

A wonderful, very special restaurant. We had a fantastic afternoon tea in celebration of a milestone birthday. The quality of the sandwiches, cakes and scones was outstanding with much careful thought given to the presentation and flavour combinations. But what makes this place so wonderful is the fantastic team. Poppys Barn really is a gem and worth a visit be it for breakfast; lunch or afternoon tea. We had such a lovely time and everyone was so positive about the occasion, the delicious food, the friendly team and the beautiful venue

Very friendly service, lovely coffee and delicious cake. Dropped in for the first time as a cycling coffee stop, and was not disappointed. Came during a week day, so it was quiet, but was greeted as soon as I started locking up my bike at the many dedicated bike racks. Very cosy inside (welcome on a very autumnal day), and served a very generous portion of bread pudding, which came decorated with fruit and a flower. Unexpected but lovely touch. Toilet was absolutely immaculate. Overheard that it's best to book at weekends as it gets busy. Will definitely be back!

We have often used this for a coffee & cake stop on our Sunday morning cycle, but today not only had the coffee gone up in price £4.25 for an Americano, they add a 15% service charge because we are a group of more than six. I kind of get the price increase, but a service charge... its coffee and cake, its low touch in terms of service. Our group of 10 spent £94, not all of us had cake and were sat outside for all of 40 minutes. The cycling social media is a buzz about it, i doubt we'll be returning anytime soon.
