“We visited Dice and a Slice for a Saturday afternoon as we have visited board game cafes elsewhere and were looking for something to extend date night to all day. We phoned shortly after opening to book a table and this was quickly sorted (although you can walk in if there’s availability). We were greeted by friendly staff who were pleasant throughout our visit. We were seated and bought some drinks and began our session. They have a great library of games to play and we found some new 2 player games which we loved and will be buying. The food and drink range is great and reasonably priced, the nachos were so good and you definitely get your moneys worth! Great board game cafe and we will definitely return when I am next in Colchester. A big bonus is that the playing fee covers all day, not a time bound session like other cafes meaning we didn’t feel pressured or rushed when trying to learn new games meaning we enjoyed them more.”

“Absolutely delicious breakfast with good quality ingredients.I generally leave the sausage if I eat at a cafe but this one was delicious and clearly not from the cheap frozen section.Coffee that came with was good and service spot on.Less than a tenner and you are onto a winner ?”
