“Went for breakfast and was pretty quiet for around 10:00am. We each had a coffee and Eggs Royal and eggs florentine. Coffee was nice and strong the waiter quick to take our order. Food didn't take too long to arrive either and I was quite surprised by the size of the portions as I ordered a extra sausage just encase. Needless to say the food was very tasty and will definitely return to try some dinner as I heard the pasta dishes are supposed to be really nice.”

“After walking 80km on the Essex Way this was an oasis. A river to cool off in and a charming pub garden to have some food. There is an outdoor charging port for powerbanks, headtorches etc.
Considering how hungry I was the veggie breakfast was quite average, and not cheap for what it was. The garden area made up for it.”

“We had a really nice brunch here. The seafood salad was really nice. The dressing was quite vinegary. I would have liked maybe more options for dressings or it put on the side. The fish was absolutely beautiful though. Prawns, crayfish and salmon were divine. My strawberry milkshake was ok, just milk and nesquik. So for nearly £5, it would be more decadent and nicer if they used strawberry ice cream or something when you are paying that amount of money for a drink. My partner enjoyed his omlette, but each addition of filling was a £1. So it was all fairly expensive. He had most things so his omlette alone came to £5 just for fillings, that's not for the omlette meal itself. We might go back to try other things as the menu was extensive and other people's breakfast looked good! Service was attentive and friendly.”

“Really enjoy doing a sessions with friends. Great setting and they have a range of boardgames to play , never had an issue of missing the odd piece either to ruin a game. Considering the amount of use they get it shows board games are looked after.”

“We had iced coffee and a sharing platter and it was amazing. Loads of food for 2 people and it was varied, healthy and delicious.
There was a nice chilled atmosphere and beautiful Arabic music playing. You can also buy things you wouldn't find in the supermarket in there.”
