I ordered Singapore noodles and Kung Po chicken and was not entirely impressed. Whilst my order was cooked fresh and very promptly, the quality was very poor. The noodles had little to no flavour, the Kung Po sauce was overly sweet and sickly and the chicken was really soft, which irked me. The service was excellent though.

This place used to be a one of the best in Colchester. But now it’s gone really bad. We spent nearly £80 here today. Singapore rice noodles and rice was absolutely tasteless. Never ever spend money on this place. NEVER EVER…….

We had a spontaneous Chinese during the football, first time using China Garden, have to say food tasted great, wasn’t greasy, and had lots of fresh vegetables! Collection ready in 15 mins! Will definitely be back!

The best noodles in Colchester, everywhere else they are dry & in metal containers, I like my noodles wet with lots of soy sauce which if you ask they do for you , they are divine and come in plastic containers which keep your food piping hot for ages ,nothing is to much for the staff, if you want a certain ingredient taken out or added they will always do this , everything we have had from there is cooked fresh and we have never had a problem and we buy from there twice a week, highly recommended ….

Absolutely appalling food. I asked for salt & pepper chicken and some Singapore rice noodles. I opened the container to find old chicken nuggets?! that were tough, chewy and tasted only of the ridiculous amount of salt they'd put on them. It was one of the most disgusting things I've ever eaten. The Singapore noodles were undercooked and unseasoned and there was lots of water in the container... No spice, no chillies, no garnish, literally just a box of plain, wet, raw noodles with a small pinch of cubed chicken tossed in. This easily takes the number one spot as the worst takeaway I've had in my entire life. Well done.

I know this as from a child 20 years ago , Showing my age lol they are still here lived in Roach vale round the corner 1995 & remember the family getting together ordering from china garden every year, Christmas, New years or any special family event i would allways have a smile on my face, So keep it up guys the crispy chilly beef tonight was delicious xx

I went to this restaurant on 2 occasions. First time good food, friendly gentleman and customer service. 2nd time, unfriendly person who did not greet or say hell when we entered, food order not correct, nor rectified when queried. Unhelpful. Will not be going back
