Didn’t have food as nothing in the evening.”

“Been here twice, a lone female with a small dog, I dream about returning and I shall soon.
The food was delicious, I'd never had such amazing oysters and they're a favourite of mine, my fish so beautifully cooked i was in heaven. The salad was fresh the place clean with interesting decor. The view from the garden is lovely.
Despite being alone I found some nice conversations with both the staff and other diners.
And the opportunity to do some good (i can't remember what they called but you buy something for another).

“A lovely local village pub always have a warm welcome here. Never been unhappy with food or services. Outside area is very well presented and well looked after.”

“Delicious food, a real hidden gem. I had a fish starter and fish specials main and it was cooked and plated superbly. Service was quick and welcoming. The area where we sat could have been more cosy, lighting, more comfortable chairs, especially this time of year. And it is a real shame that there isn't an area for well behaved dogs inside.”

“I cannot express enough how everyone at the Marquis is absolutely lovely! I recently held my birthday party there with a bit of an unusual Halloween in July theme and all the ladies at the bar were so lovely and helpful with anything and everything we needed before, during, and after. We were able to bring our own themed food and everything went so smoothly and all of my guests were so impressed! They had not known of the Marquis and the great space out back so we will definitely be back to enjoy their food and drinks over the summer! Liz and her team are excellent and I would give more stars if I could!”
